Hey tom, nice SB! It's cool to see your drawing when you fill it with imagination, such as the monster in post #22 , the robot with number 16 on his shoulder, in also the frog with black suit and hat

Hmmm... I recognized some of your sketches. A lot of Bridgman. A bit Loomis. Few Gnomon's Dynamic Figure Drawing (I'm watching it right now too hehe). Also the "new book" you mention, is it the book about Fantasy Artist (I forgot the title, but it's published by Pageone, isn't it?). Nice study so far!! I'm a bit envious that you are able to spend so much time drawing. I got much distraction from my college. Have to attend the class and listening to the lecturer speaking something that already written in text books, the tasks to write academic paper, do and prepare many presentations (I got to do about 10-13 presentations in this two months), etc etc... (I couldn't take art-related university, that's the reason college is pretty bothering for me). Not to mention distraction from my family, leaving me only 3-4 hours to draw everyday... But yeah, just keep drawing! Keep drawing!!

And about the game design you mention before, is it "game design" that using a program to input this code, fix this bug, add this mod, and boring technical stuff like that? >,<

    Best regards,
    Bram

Looking at the two studies that you did near the top, the one that is the print screen and the one that is right underneath of that as a naked woman, I think that you are putting down colors that you that you think are supposed to be there rather than the ones that are there (Though that may have been your intention?).

Since you're using a computer, I think that a good thing to do would be to grab a photo of one of these people, put it in the drawing program you're using, and then use the eyedropper tool to pick colors off the skin. This'll help you gather a more context-free look at the colors that are there, and it'll give you a stronger idea of what type of colors are there. If you have the palette window open while you're at it, it'll even give you the color's exact location on the wheel in many programs.

    Hopefully this is helpful... :d
And here's my sketchbook. Help me out with some c&c?

Looks like you’re pretty inspired by Andrew Jones which is cool nothing wrong with that. My advice though would be to KEEP DOING THEM STUDIES! and do more if you can, whip out that pencil and don't worry sooo much about digital just yet. You need a really solid foundation before you go start exaggerating and being all abstract. Some things to focus on could be like anatomy, light, and form, Render using your pencil and concentrate on the values and where your light source is, work on you line work and so on. Remember that Andrew Jones understands his fundamentals Knows what colours to use and where to place them, that understanding is what makes him stand out.

anyways hope the rant helped, best of luck!
