Thanks for the kind words A.Gregoire and M-Studios! I guess I may have been overzealous in the details a little bit for the enviros, I'll watch that from now on. As for the perspective of the vehicle, I think i see what you mean. Is it the large backtire? that's the part that's looking kinda funky to me now, I'll make the necessary adjustments. no need to apologize at all, its good to get the feedback!
Wow, some really nice concepts you've got there! Like M-studios said, the enviros are a little busy and perhaps the detail in the back ground is a little over-sharpened. I'd also like to suggest that the anatomy of your last two characters are a little off in the chest region. They're a little flat.
Thanks for the comments Belindi! In an effort to tone down the busyness of the first two enviros, I lessened the sharpened effect and tried to add a little more fog like atmosphere to try and kill some of the detail. The results are posted above and they do work better now. Good call on the chests too, they were quite sunk in! I hope the perspective on the vehicle works better now too
Hey Dude, great stuff Man. I especially like the female cyborg! Damn but that is a tasty piece of work. For outlandish vehicles etc check out Kow Yokoyama of Ma.K fame. You may find some cool ideas. In fact check out this forum : http://www.maschinenkrueger.com/forum/index.php you will need to sign up, to have a serious look at the good stuff, but that is not a big deal.

Here's my latest, I call it Little Big Red Riding Hoods. No concept really here, more just visualizing a scene. I had an idea in my head that Little Red Riding Hood had an older sister, Big Red, who fortuitously for Little Red, happens to pack guns. And knows how to use them. Any critiques are appreciated, thanks for taking the time to look.

Great scene, it made me laugh this version would be much cooler to tell as a fairytale!
There could be a few changes though, the main thing is composition, the painting seems to be divided in 3 parts, for each character 1 part with very little overlap. This way it doesn't really read as one, it just seems to be 3 seperated parts wich are put together in 1 painting. Try to change the point of view or something to let them overlap a lot more, and it will be much better imho.
The coloring etc. is great! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the comments M-Studios and Mr. Thorne! You raise a very good point M-Studios, more overlap would increase the dynamism of the piece, especially given the context of what is happening. I'll keep that in mind for my next one.

Just did some character costumes as an exercise since I don't feel particularly strong in it. Also redid my enviro from before since there were issues with the perspective angles. Any feedback is appreciated, thanks for looking.
hi jack, i like your character concepts, but i think you have a little problem with the eyes... i realy like the girl-robot concept above the scorpion creature and the war-car ... and about that war-car, it's a nice design but the 2 wheels in front, they don't seem to touch the ground...

Templar 101--- A very good point , I've been told that my environments are a little too busy and that I need to let the viewer have "room to breathe". I keep falling into the trap though, I think I have tunnel vision in that regards. I'll have to be more wary of it.
look@mine---- good observation, there was something bothering me about the latest characters, I'll try to make the adjustments to their eyes. I didn't notice that about the vehicle, but now that you pointed it out, I'll try to see if i can ground it more.
jbrown67--- Good eye, that's something I have a struggle with! The foreground, mid-ground separation I find easier but for some reason I struggle with the background. Is it too much atmosphere, too little? Now i know its too little, I'll try to knock it back more to separate the midground...

I really like most of your work and I may not have the appropriate skill level to really give any constructive criticism, however your enviroments seem to be having a lot of quick brush strokes that really take away from that 'polished' look, a lot of things have wobbly lines. Now you could say that that is part of the magic of painting and ofcourse I don't exactly know if these pieces are sketches or really finished, however I believe that most of these would look spectacular if you would strive for perfection.
Again, that is just my perspective on this and I really do have a lot of admiration for your level of skill.
Really diggin the stuff in here. Few points I'd like to throw in;
As far as the character stuff goes - I think a variation of positions would be nice. Your ability to clothe them is cool - maybe give them some motion. In post #23 the first lady in motion is a bit awkward - her arm behind her head more specifically. Maybe go for a variation - drastic variation.
I really love environment work, working with level design / environments especially - your work is pretty sketchy as Jiri92 mentioned, meaning, not sure if it's finished or if it's rough work - either way, it's really good work. I would suggest maybe polishing up some pieces. The one with Little red riding hood / Big red / Wolf - would be a cool scene to work on a bit more, clean it up, get some nasty detail in there.
