    Eugene Arenhaus' sketchery

    Hey guys.

Here's the guy whose job is to walk the dogs of war.

Done in HB pencil over two iterations of roughs, which explains its unusual (for me) thin sketchy lines.

    She is missing Debussy.

Black pencil over sketch in red pencil (knocked out after scanning).

really nice man! Gotta love that bear jumping over that small dog. Awesome!
Love that first image aswell, the dogs looks completely crazy, one thing that bothers me is his right hand, the one that's flicking the cigarette, it's not on par with the rest, I would redraw that and make it totally awesome!

A demo done yesterday in one of threads here on conceptart.org. Going exactly with the original mannikin's proportions might not have been the best idea... I prefer my figures more realistic and less anime leggy. Oh well.

A figure study, done without a model, to practice figure drawing from memory.

Quick thumbnails, exploration for the kif species from C.J.Cherryh's "Chanur" series... Marker sketches enhanced with wide ink pen.

Another of the demos done for conceptart.org forums here.

The artist I did this for had originally used reference which I hadn't seen, which was supposed to be an archer; but since no sane archer would take up this pose if he hoped to hit anything with an arrow, I didn't recognize it as such and had to reinterpret.
