    Final Fantasy 13 fan art

    Hi all!

I'd like to get some critics on this piece of fan art I just finished!
Inked and painted entirely in 'Paint Tool SAI'. Did the hair in Illustrator using a custom hair brush I made and then refined it in SAI. Post any questions if you have any!

PS: I don't own the game, so some minor details might be off, but I'm fine with that. It wasn't meant to be this detailed in the first place anyways :p

I know you're going for super deformed, but the styles of the face and the body don't' match. I think you got the details spot on.

Ah, that's what they call it I didn't know if I could call it a chibi or bobblehead style character at first. Could you give some advice on how I could improve it?

Sorry forgot to give actual advice. Your body looks more cartoony than the head. You can probably make the eyes bigger and she probably doesn't need a nose IF you're going for a cute cartoony look. Also you need more shadows on the right side of the face and under her hair.

Chibi/cute mostly has to do with relative proportions, specifically baby proportions versus adult proportions... relatively bigger forehead, smaller nose/mouth/chin, bigger eyes, etc. I played with the proportions of your image for a minute w/ GIMP's iWarp (I think the Photoshop equivalent is liquify?) and got this:

Thanks for your answers! I'll add some more shadow to her face and then I'm going to call it finished I think. I'll take your advice into consideration next time I make something like this.
