permas noobis: Thanks! Your comment adds to the evidence that this work of mine actually has a bit of emotional appeal.

Re neighbor's enviro: sky works really well; foliage texture is pretty serviceable; overall composition communicates the subject well. Crit: linework and modelling makes the house a little wonkety and slightly melted looking-- think the lines need to be more rigid and straight. As well, the deck and house need a tad bit more value rendering to make them "pop off" the picture surface. But, overall, a good brass tacks enviro.

That's a good question Perma! I've seen a lotta people here on CA that are a lot better draughtsman than myself produce some utter poo when they transition to digital.

    Where ARE you coming from?

Let's wait until June 7. Then, maybe a mini project for the mid-month and a standard project for the end of the month.

    That's my input!

Ok, let's wait till 7 June. If CyGear is MIA by then, we will do mini-project and have it submitted by 15 June. If CyGear is still MIA by 15 June, then the turn will be passed on to the next guy on the rooster (me ), and CyGear can give make-up projects when he's back (meaning he will have to suggest 2 projects). LOL

    Happy weekends and more drawing,
    Xeon

    Hello

    Hey mates,
I'm so sorry for my absence. I was on a schoo trip and so I can't draw anything because I have forgotten my materials. Actually, I have no picture.
I'll upload my "Environment Picture" on Monday or Tuesday, so I suggest that we put in a mini project or something like that.
Because of the fact, that it is my turn to make an assignement, I would say:

    -a little drawing from life
    -nothing special
-just something you have seen while you were outside...

    Best
    CyGear

PS: The town where I was on the trip was Weimar...
I think some you know this town. Keywords: Goethe, Schiller etc.
Regarding the drawing, there was a art school or school of art. And while I was going across the market place, I have seen a boy, sitting on a bench and drawing everything he saw. You know, it was so cool, because he captured me in his picture while I passed him. That's all

Well CyGear, glad to have you back! I think I've heard of the name before...."Weimar". Hmm.....

And now, on to CyGear's assignment! Deadline : 21 June 2010

Good with me! An excuse to do a quick "plein air" watercolor.

Weimar? For me, it's all about Nuremberg-- home of Albrecht Durer-- influencer of Howard Pyle-- the teacher of N.C. Wyeth-- the father of Andrew Wyeth-- um, I must now go to my shrine and make a burnt offering. . .

Hey guys just wanted to let everyone know That I took a mini vacation last week. I spent the last few days staying with a friend. That is why I haven't responded sooner. The new assignment sound good. Something nice and relaxing, a random life drawing. Will be nice after the craziness of my past few weeks. Once again everyone, I apologize for the infrequency of my posts and updates lately, summer is always a crazy time for me.

Nah, why apologize? Taking life slow and easy is good; that's my fave philosophy. The world is moving too fast and it's awesome to be able to slow down. I could do with my long vacation myself.
