This is one of the freshest styles I've seen passing these forums in a while. I love the use of color and the composition you set out. Great job! Do you have any wips to show?

really great work. I like the balance between comic and concept art style. are your lines pencil?

Outstanding work! Windsor- Smith does come to mind, but so does Juan Gimenez and his MetaBarons work. Whatever the case, truly awesome stuff.

Nice images. The concepts are exciting, and the coloring is sick.

    Smile

    Randis - Thanks

dfacto - The inked lines were a way of keeping some sort of consistency between images and with the deadline on this project I couldn't go for an all out painted work. But I hear you. Maybe some of them could have done without the inks. And thanks.

    Jalc - Thanks

Azarack - Thank you. I didn't get the filters part. Are you refering to the filters in Photoshop ? I didn't use any ( I hate Filters except the blur ones. With the absence of a good and fast blending tool, especially for images with @450 PPI +, I find that the blur filters can somewhat alleviate the pain ). CS5 is supposed to have a proper blending engine.

    Jorge Gecov - Thanks

    ColumbusSage - Thank you.

    Erkan - Thanks

    jhonnyD2 - Thank you

WyckdNick - Thanks a lot. Yes it is Digital. I went for the Water Color feel because I thought it was the fastest way to complete the images.Besides the inks could also hold the colors well.

    elyo11 - Thanks

Lyle Moore - Thank you, good sir

    lewiston - Thanks

    MatejaPetkovic - Thank you

NathanLong, Paolo13 - Man, what a name to cite ! BWS has been an inspiration for long starting right from that splash page of Ororo wrapped in the bedsheets in an Xmen issue.and Paolo13 can you please point out any specific image where you get the filter effect ? thanks

sipher - Thanks, it is one of my fav too.

    vproce - thankee Sai

Traveler - Thanks for stopping by

    Lunarsis -Thank you

    sebdrew - Thanks

    lordbiernac - Much thanks

    tjh - Thanks

    Stylor - Thanks

bhanu - Yes Mahabharat is a gargantuan task to do justice to. Glad you got the senstivity to the characters part. Mahabharat is nothing if not the story of human nature.

Duman - Thanks and epic is THE word. Glad you get that feel. As and when I am in a position to, I will surely post some newer work.

Dozeren - Thanks a lot, dude

    Natzuur-JK - Thank you !

Shreya(Iridyse) - Thanks. Glad you like it.

Gatts - Glad you like the style. Starting on the project I was in a dillema as to how do I approach it. There was a hell lot of work to do.The last image in the list was one of the first to get completed. I got the scale I was aiming for. Rest was just building upon that style. I will post some W.I.Ps when I get hold of the original PSDs ( they are not with me at the moment)

    CTRLNL - Thanks

gumberoo - Hah ! You nailed it . Thats what I was aiming for. Some sort of narrative structure ( the images do not appear in the correct sequence here as they will in the book ) with some visualization was my theme for the images.Thanks.

Eric Lofgren - Gosh Eric you added one more master to the list. I am thrilled.

    J-Boogie - Thank you !

this is fantastic. epic and splendid in so many ways. i love that green god statue one, with these digonal beams of light and tiny figures. it's amazing.
there's that druillet feel to these, combined with a greater attention to details.

    superb!!!

I like the mixture of painterly coloring mixed with more comic-like line-work. Very nice.

the birdy eye viewish one with all the guys with the shields was great.
some of your characters have a bit of a corny factor to me, particularly the guy with the beard sounding the concha shell thing. anyway also love the fun use of colour
