Luk999 - HAHA yeah if only I could keep my concentration! nah, what keeps happening is I learn so much from just a brief encounter with those master paintings that I dont feel the need to finish it its weird I know. Thanks man I WILL!

SirGreenSock - Thanks, others are always first to notice improvment so thanks for that Great tip, actually now that I think of it im afraid of cast shadows... I should really get over my fear and include that in my work like you said. Thanks man!

magicpudding - ..... T_T gimme a minute... *wipes tear* OK. hehe, thank you so much, that really means alot. You know sometimes its hard to tell wether youre any good at all and I have been kinda hard on myself lately so your comment really does mean alot to me

Nice head studies, and that last photostudy is fantastic dude, real jump in terms of observation and colour work! Also an interesting way of breaking down the face before starting the portrait

Well heres my first go at a conceptual painting using the technique Ive been trying to form.
The first line drawing I did wasnt enough, So I started again from scratch. I gave the head WAY more structure and after I did the rough drawing and cleaned up the lines, I kept the rough drawing as a ref in case I forgot which way the forms were going And I did need it, many many times...

God, The old man looks so real. And the alien looks like 3d! Very realistic . Keep up the good work and thanks for commenting in my SB. Have you tried not drawing while you paint? Coz ive read something from a book that drawing is not equal to painting, Think of drawing as a means.Lol i dont remember Ive read it from a watercolor portrait tips ebook... Maybe loosen up you drawings so you dont depend on them much.

Bo-ee - thanks man, yeah Ive done alot of that, I was forced to begin drawing with the paint this year coz I wasnt doing it haha. But right now Im just doing the drawing because I can seperate the different elements of the painting to make it easier to do conceptual painting
