    corza334 thanks man!

I Nide yes of course, it's not finished i just put the basic values. Thanks for your time man!

kingkostas thanks man!

Norris thanks! Yes, it' s a lot of fun indeed and if it isn't i try to make fun out of it! Glad to see you here!

Some anatomy updates i tried doing from my mind only, without seeing any book etc. Ink on paper. Oh, crit please and for the previous colored sketches! Hope you like it.

    Hi there Knut
I must say you have a really nice sketchbook going on here. I like to see an artist develop a certain style, and you are definitely doing that. I enjoy looking at your cartoon faces alot, because the way you portray facial planes makes it easier for me to draw them.
See you already helped one member with your thread, I think thats pretty awesome. I suppose I need to subscribe to see your developement.
The last few are very nice as well, but I would like to see you paint more, not only draw. The nearest you came to (traditional) painting is in post #73 as far as I can see, but thats still rather drawing. Try using the knowledge you have of body planes to tackle them not in a line but in a form.

    Cheers,
    Janos

Janos thank you for your time. It' s always good to hear about a certain style you are trying to develop. I' m trying to experiment with various drawing/ painting ways at the time (ink/ phtsop/ cartoon/ naturalistic/ etc) to see how it works. Also, you are right about painting. The truth is that many time i avoid painting cause i fear it a little bit. Got to learn some things and paint at the same time. Thanks again for your comments!

Some more ink updates. Also, tell me if i have to post smaller thumbnails.

    Hey dude
Got some interesting stuff happening. It's nice to experiment but don't neglect those observational drawings!

very very nice!!!Also those from your mind seems quite accurate, and that shows that you can understand quickly.Great sketches and the "Link" with the red value placements shows great volume.
    Keep it up!!!

Wow, this is cool, man! You never told me you're this good hehe

I love how you use the strong straight lines in your drawings, and your shading style too! Those strong lines give dynamic to the drawing and the shading really emphasize the form. Great combination!

Somehow I sense that your drawings right now are still more readable in grayscale. Keep experimenting and practicing in color, knut!

Ivan Turcin i' m really into experimenting with materials and techniques at this time. I really enjoy it! Thanks man, it's goot to see you here.

HunterKiller_ thanks and you are right, i really get off of "regular" practice road many times.

kingkostas thanks man! Really good to see you here once again. Also thanks for the pm.

BluezAce thanks for posting man. Those two things, lines and shading, are really something that worry me about giving a sketch what it needs. So i try to experiment with different ways of doing them and see which one fits me. Thanks again.

I borrowed yesterday a friend's bamboo tablet so here's my first try on a grayscale sketch. It's not finished yet but tell me what you think.

finally an update! nice tablet work, how does it feel painting with it? to me it's the same as pencil on paper. Watch out for his right shoulder, it should be a little bit bigger (I think). Will come back to see how it's going. Cheers!

    Wow Knut!

I am very impressed with your style...it is very clean and charming at the same time, and shows an innate love of planes and form. Very unique.

I'd like to see you integrate your approach into some more traditional studies of figure and perspective. Your proportions look well-controlled but rather stylized, and I'm not sure how good your grasp of more realistic anatomy/body forms is.

Also, at some point it would be good to branch out into some more media besides ballpoint...particularly, you should get a tablet of your own and learn up on digital painting. However I'd put that as secondary to solidifying your basic drawing skills with some figure drawing and perspective.

I really like that GEKKO study, more studies of mechanical items would seem like a good idea. Also perhaps some architecture? Or just environments in general?

Keep it up man, post lots more stuff.

Ivan Turcin thanks man. It was really about the first day to get used to. Now it's almost like a pen but i cannot still draw the lines as easy on paper.

BludHund is good to see you here! Thanks for the kind words
You are really right about the studiew. I did for a couple of years on high school analogic and architectonical drawing. I have to get into some perspective/ enviro studies cause i want to explore the enviromental concept art thing. The truth is i never tried to do very realistic sketches cause they never interested me but i realise thet maybe i need them.
I hope to stick with my friend's tablet on summer, otherwise i got to find some money...

Some updates. Messing around with the brushes on phtsp.
