Lechri thanks man. Έχεις σχόλιο στο δικό σου. Χαίρομαι να μαζευόμαστε σιγά σιγά.
AjaxDynamoDroid thanks for your time. The truth is that i want to continue a bit the dark room. Also, if you see the floor of the fish-eye lens studie is a bit off... I'm working on it.
kingkostas Να σαι καλά ρε τρελαμένε! Αυτό που λες με τα ακρυλικά είναι σινική μελάνι και κάπιες μπογιές για.. ρούχα που είχαν ξεμείνει.
So, another sb update. Here are some quick enviro studies i did of my town last night while walking (much easier without the crowd of tourists..). They took me about 10-15 mins. I try to be quick and clear about the represented place. It's really a challenge for me standing up and still with the sb at my hands drawing and people walk by.. I have to be carefull with the cops though.. The most important, i have to make less lines and more sense!
The coloured one it's the same but i worked on it at home (ink and some clothe colors i have). It's not really finished.
Also, some friends at our kitchen trying to cook..
Crits are more than welcome!

Thanks guys. Some quick plasticine figures i did last night for fun after dinner.. Had the stupid idea of the forest background Sorry for the awful mixed colors of plasticine, gotta use what i have!
October 10th, 2010 #161
Some sb updates. I find myself coming back on a sketch and continuing or changing it sometimes. I used colour pencils, ink and again, some clothe colours (except from ICO in phtsp of course).
Crits needed always!

Some update. My beloved drums and my room are on the two of them. Pretty messy desk... Color pencils, ink, clothe colours.
Critics as always needed.

I would recommend that you do more figure drawings like the one with the scarf. Try to simplify the shapes to better understand the form of the object.
Πολύ ωραία αυτά που έκανες από πλαστελίνη! Δοκίμασε να τα σχεδιάσεις στο χαρτί από διάφορες γωνίες.

Awesome enviros re!Just at some points they look weird, u should use helping points and lines and stay on them!Kala milame o favnos-plastelini gamatos!Do more sculptures like this! The last pixel one is also nice!sinexise ree!

Whoa, many good stuff here since the last I see this SB! You really get the feel in the drawing of vocalist on post #152! I love it!! The pixelate drawing is nicely done too! I've seen a designer use that style as his main style, but your works is much more smoother than his
It seems that your approach is more like blocky-style rather than smooth curving lines. That makes the drawings feel "solid"! And although I don't really see a methodical approach in your drawings (like systematically study of anatomy, etc etc), but I really love that you make many experiments here and there, using many different methods and mediums! Keep the momentums,knut-!

Thanks people, nice to see u here giving time on my sb. I had some issues and didn't have time to post anything.
Lechri thanks man. I will do some more figures with planes like that (cause i enjoy it also!).
monstertree thank you. I tried to give a movement more than to give many details on such a small figure.
cgaddict thanks man, i try to find a way to give a sort of characteristic on the colors.
Cameli thanks! The truth is that i do those enviros at night standing still at a point for about 10-15 mins. So i try to practice my appreciation about proportions etc and i don't have time and means like that to be precise using helping points.
BluezAce thanks. The truth is that the pixelated one is not mine, i mean, i drew it looking a pic on the internet, it's from an old game called "Monkey Island" . As for the singer, i try to see things in planes and understand ligthing too like that.
Yes, i practice alone and the truth is that i have a programme in my mind about what to study (books, real life etc). I hope experimenting with different things won't get me to just be mediocre on all of the stuff i' m doing. We'll see..
kingkostas thanks re trele! I will try to do some more sculptures.
The truth is i don't really like the kitchen sketch. You are talking about the lack of shadows as for simplicity?
~Twig thanks man, i will but at this time plasticine it's not a priority. As for the figure drawing, you are right!
So, taking back the power (you are responsible for that too, thanks), i post some sketches i did the previews 2 weeks. All of them are quick sketches from life and some are with the left hand. I try to practice it and is interesting.

haha those plasticine figures are awesome dude, very impressive. I think you are doing great in terms of progress. One crit from me would be to increase the contrast in your linework and rendering sketches. There is a distinction of values but you could definitely push it more, to give it that extra level of depth.
thanks for the crit about edges too btw, I appreciate it
November 7th, 2010 #177
kingkostas thanks man i really appreciate it(did you mean that i did it or not, as about forms? I'm not sure ).
cgaddict thanks ,i try to make the basic planes in my mind even on those quick ones.
ThomasM thanks for your time and crit! I indeed have problem to realise the contrast, when i have the right amount of blacks and whites and when not. I think i have to be more determined when i draw.
I did a quick Belmont (Castlevania) black and white sketch on A4. Ink once again.
November 7th, 2010 #178
One more quick. Ink and some clothe colours on A4. Crits needed.

Hey, thanks for stopping by my SB
You have some interesting things going on in here, particularly with your colours. It draws a good sense of abstractness to it with also impressionistic style. Quite nice, you should develop this strength more. It can work well with your enviros.
Like many people saying here, I would also say work on your figures. Just get a pen and paper and grind for 2-3 hrs non-stop doing 30 second poses from posemaniacs or study from books such as Bridgman. Will help to develop your forms much better which I think is probably the weakest area in your figures.
Hope that helps

Hey there! Those portraits are very nice indeed! I really like the second one with the ink. Brush and ink is really hard to work with, but you seem to handle it very well. Although I would recommend that you use it mostly for outlines to get a sort of comic-book style. Not every medium is good at everything, if you know what I mean. That I think is in part, holding back your Castlevania painting. Why don't you try painting with watercolors or acrylics? I think they are much better in depicting color and value transitions. Or you can mix and match, inks for the outlines and watercolor for coloring, depending on what style you are aiming for. Like this one, which I like.
Other than that, you are doing great with your studies. Συνέχισε έτσι! Είσαι σε καλό δρόμο!
