hey guys, ok
so im doing this assignment for school and i got side tracked by it and went off on my own tangent and i need some help.
the linework on his arm is of a little girl im going to paint playing on his arm
in terms of color, composition and any other ideas you may have or can help me with will be greatly appreciated
Well she seems like she should be a major focal point of the piece. So, possibly dark hair to contrast the white beard her head is around and a similar thought process for her dress/clothes. My first thought was a red to complement the green, but I'm not so sure with all the browns and pinks around it. A light blue?
I'm really liking this so far..It's too early to tell, but I'm guessing you'll be adding more contrasting shadows to that green rim lighting. right now, it's all still looking a little flat. also, I would show a little more of his left hand, right now its kind of cropped off at an awkward position and is directing the eye outside the picture plane. maybe have it curve a little?
Love the expression and the whole feel of everything though, I'm sure you'll make it look awesome.
