    SEI - Concept Artist for Video Game

    Looking for Talented Concept Artist!

    Seamless Entertainment, Inc. (SEI) is looking for conceptual artist for contract work who can follow a very exacting style, dictated by a licensor provided style guide. Illustrations would serve as concepts for a game title that contains a large collection of children’s mini-games. Artists would mock-up what a given mini-game will look like based off both the provided style guide and a game design document.

    Requirements:

    1. Solid illustrative skills.
    2. Ability to work within the required licensor style.
    3. Experience with Photoshop or Illustrator or traditional media.
    4. Preference for at least 1 year of experience creating concepts for games, although it is not required.
    5. Ability to submit work over the internet and FTP sites.

    Special Notes:

    If you are already in the Austin, TX area and are interested, this contract position could be considered for a temporary internal position instead.

    Rates are to be negotiated and artists should submit their rates.

    This is a fast paced project with short deadlines.

    I'm very interested in this position, but I have a question. Could you possibly provide any more information on the licensor style?

    Thanks Devil bunny, the same question was running through my mind. I may or may not be able to produce in the style needed. Could we please just get a quick snippet or brief, general sort of look the licensor is looking for?

    this may sound snappy, but thats not my intention.

    but always be pro-active in your own research even pre-commission, if a company is named, look them up.
    in this case follow the email domain, blacklanternstudios.com .. while the commissioner is seamless interactive they mention in the post it is wholly owned by blacklanternstudios, and there is a big chance that the same licenses are worked on.
    (in this case, dr.seuss, dora etc.)
