Right on. Got some good stuff in here. So, since you are young and just getting ready to hit the pavement hard I would suggest you start with some anatomy studies. Got any anatomy books? Draw the illustrations. Learn how the human bone structure is put together and then the muscles. It pays off.

    Welcome to CA.

Visible improvements here, Neon. I agree with Van, anatomy and proportion are the most important things to learn first. There are some great things online by Andrew Loomis, www.saveloomis.org, and plenty of great stuff here and at The Society of Figurative Arts, www.tsofa.com, both are well worth checking out. You're off to a good start, I'll check back in a couple days and see how you're doing. Welcome to CA and best wishes.

Oooh, its great to see earlier stuff. Since you have been drawing like that since you were 13, you must have a built up library of cool stuff/charectors, keep drawing and set it free! That was cheesier than the seriously strong chedder cheese toast next to me.

But seriously your inspire me to give more commitment to my drawings, and draw the cool stuff I like.

    scribblings!

make sure to make guide lines before you start to draw/paint, i can see in your girlfriends portrei that your lines are off, make some facial or anatomical studies if htat is what you want, in a year or two you'll look back and be happy of the progress you've made, i know, i'm laughing now at my old stuff

great pics, and the key to progress is to think of what you do and how to improve it, and most of all, draw every day. EVERYDAY !!!

cheers ! and welcome to the boards !

    Hey guys.

Van: Thanks! ya i have one book, i did download 5 loomis books, but i had to reformat this f-ing comp because its a bastard. i hate doing anatomy studies, but i guess it has to be done..woo.

IanE: Thanks dude. Read above haha.

Harry: Yo man, I dunno how many drawings i got, prob not as many as ya might think. I inspire you? wow thats rich haha, never thought i'd hear that from no one.

Hurricane: Omg. Thee hurricane just left a comment...whoo hoo! Thanks man, you really inspire me. awesome stuff you got.
Yea i'm starting to use guildlines. hated them, but they useful, and my girlfriends face isn't as off as it seems, just that damn scanner, but a little i guess. Man old stuff really disinspires me for some reason, and i start drawing really crap...not good.
I draw nearly everyday... i think i give up to easy... oops.

I won't be updating for a few days, cause i've had alot of trouble with windows, damnit, gunna get linux soon hopefully tho its harder to use, i'll try anything to get away from windows.
    Does anyone use linux btw?
    Thanks all

    Nice stuff man
confident lines look good, and u have a good grasp of space for your creatures.
Get you F**king scanner installed before I drive up there and.... install it myself!! or I could send my army of shrews... anyway..
Oh and some REALLY confident tonal work would be good.
Got some potential here, don’t squander, go and draw!
    Talk to you later.

Cool crab mech! Artist's block sucks... I hear a good remedy is to just draw scribbles all over a piece of paper and draw what you can see in them.

    Looking forward to more!

    Whoa! Awesome update!

Really like the guy in the middle on the first page. You could probably do some awesome stuff if you focused on him...

And I also really liked the last page...could be a really sweet environment with some more work!

Good job killing the block! Keep goin'!

If that cow in you latest drawings is the same one you just dumped on my hand, Ouch it looks heavy, its cool caus it looks cool. As does the crazy creature above, like the head of some wookie like race, but a bit more skunk/badger style.
Never stop with all the crazy exaggerated stuff like the "evil turd". Makes a sketchbook more interesting than loads of life drawings.

Got any ideas for our TD self portrait theme?

    scribblings!

    Hi Soul: Child!

Excellent imagination there, man! I love all the different dragons and monsters. Interesting photoshop experimenting there too. Thats a great thing to do, keep playing with different approaches and find the things that give you results you like (I need to take my own advice...more PS work).

It's obvious you dont mind hard work, I can tell you are putting it all into your drawings. Keep at it and do more finished pieces. Youre coming along great!

Hey you really do have a great imagination and I think that is the most important thing when it comes to being an artist. After a few hundred life studies and applying it to your work, you'll be a pro.

Ok, the long awaited update by many people!

Heroic: Hey thanks man, trying hard to improve here. and ya, shes actually real good at that kinda stuff. Thanks

Harry: No, the cow i dropped on ya hand was alot bigger. think it mighta given you brain damage too.
Ya evil turd is mr hankys evil brother, and i hate real life shit so i never post it. woo way to boring. Kinda stuck on the TD thing, Molly gave me a good idea tho, *cyber brat* lol. tho i'm no brat, i just have issues. but it sounds kool.

Josh: I'd take you down anyday! i choose Harry cause his more of a challenge then you wil ever be!
Thanks DUDE hehe. i try not too, thank my girlfriend for keeping my ass drawing lol.

    Kevin: Thanks man.

Tasha:......tut. stop sucking up to me, and go post more!! use the little *post reply* button alot ok. (thank you btw)

Jade dragon: Hey man. thanks, nearly as good as you now hu. you know its true. Need alot of practice to get anywhere near the level of talent here. woo. but i'm gunna do it! .... as if you need to or actualyl can get any better...... and hard work. woo, only a few things i'll actually work hard on, one is def drawing for sure.
    Thanks again.

Nightvision: Hey, cheers, its the only one i'm good at..
    Update is here!

Jonny: So its been said, one of the few things i agree on with people is my imagination. and ya, important, especially for a concept artist.
you make it sound so easy, better break out the life studies hu.

Maxetormer: YO man! hows it hanging. shriveled and to the left? awesome.
Thanks, I still think your avatar kicks all my pics asses.

Grunk Chaw buddick. Drugg groff chum, pedin, you know what I mean?
I just felt like saying that. You're art has really come a long way since its inception. your line work has become increasingly more confident, which is always good. I'd like to see you work more pieces to completion, especially with more detail. You have fine rendering, don't waste it! If you do, well, my homies will come find you and take you out! AHAHA!
Impressive work, though, really. Please, keep at it!

but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.

    Starting over.
