    The panda pad

Hi, I'm glad to have found this place. I am an absolute beginner. I'm almost completely self-taught and enjoying every minute of the experience. I work full time during the week and mostly draw during lunch breaks. I read alot, and follow youtube clips while practicing heavily on my own.

I really love this community of people and I hope to stay here to develop as an artist.

    Nice to meet you all!

P.S. Except for this current post, all my work will be posted in chronological order. So please jump to the last page where I need your valuable comments the most!

    Thank you!

    [Edit]

I'll try to keep my most recent stuff in the first post as well. Hope to give and receive great feedbacks!

Are my figures now distinctly male and female? I wish someone could tell me.

Reached "block form" in Loomis. I am totally stumped. I guess this is where I take a break before I rip my sketchpad apart.

Random update on my faces studies. Moving away from the cartoony manga look, it just seems so tacky now.

Those are some excellent studies, but I would like you to do something a bit more imaginitive when you get the chance.

Thanks! I'm not in a very creative mood lately, I don't know why! But I tried to make face studying slightly more artistic I suppose. Have any tips?

I hope these drawings can get me into art school. I really need a teacher and peers to get feedback from. -.-

Another study with pencils and shadows and cute model, etc. Wish I could get some more feedback on these things. I don't goto art school so its nearly impossible to get constructive criticisms from peers.

This is a good start on your sketchbook. Especially the last two drawings. Keep working on anatomy, study Loomis and try to draw what you have learned from him.
    Good work, cheers!

First all digital sketch. The fuss about digital painting, really does have its merits! Experiment 1 for me.

Great work! I tend to work mostly from imagination and not practice using reference enough. I've learnt a lot from your approach. Thanks, and keep posting.

Great work! Very convincing. I have no experience using tablets, but I believe the distant eye is not AS convincing as the near one. This takes study and practice to get right. Keep at it!

Thanks dude, i checked out your sketchbook and left some comments. If you got any questions, I'll try my best to answer but I can't garantee I'm a good teacher lol. I'm still looking for one myself!

Hard to believe you're only a beginner based on the images you posted - you're already off to a great start. I'll definitely be watching your progress, keep it up!

Agreed with the others, there is some good drawing going on here. On your no ref ones, just be careful with proportion, particularly with respect to the eyes.
