This is an old picture done a classic fantasy style with aquarel pencils and water colour. It is somewhat lewd but then most fantasy art is

I've had this sketch in my visual diary for a while, decided i want to take the leap to digital work......this is my first time working with photoshop so go easy on me. I need some direction, suggestions. I have a very clear idea of how i want the picture to come out, going for the very saturated plastic feel with warm light and cool purple shadows.
Gimme some pointers?!
This picture's called the sentinel.

some charcoal work i did for a project.
comments are welcome!
some cool stuff i really like the second to last one with charcoal for the digital painting i would say to add some more texture to the buildings
Thanks very much prsnsweeny. Its good to have critique, especially when there are so many mammoth sketch books full of mindblowing stuff around.
This is the second picture i produced in photoshop.....this was for a project in which we were required to design a futuristic product, so i went for a security police gauntlet which can tazer people and other nifty things.
Its called Vice Grip.

These are some sketches i did in pencil and fine-liner....helps pass the time in between lectures.
This is some early stuff...I often enjoy watercolours or ink and wash as a medium and charcoal on top of backgrounds painted with tea or coffee.
Here are some more titbits from the visual diary.
Designer's markers make me happeee!
I've wanted to chuck this one in for a while...I drew this justt after i left zimbabwe to study a couple of years ago.
You're off to an excellent start! Plus, I like how you had Mugabe with Hitler.

Hey there, fab work here. That drawing of the girl smoking is amazing! show more studies. Thanks
you have a good foundation to build from here and a nice mix of work, will be interesting to see how you develop! keep posting! the study with the robot sat on the post is more effective as a composition than most of your other examples as it has a great sense of perspective keep working at it
This is another charcoal study I did as a pair including the one with me sitting cross-legged. I recently had this piece in another section for critique but feel it will receive a better response here.
The concept for both these images is based on frustrations of living in a city.

Thanks for the critique justin.
If the lighting and values in these pictures seem awry its probably because most of the images in this thread are done from the imagination and all of the figure work except the mugabe one and the charcoal studies were produced without references. i like dramatic lighting and often choose more than one light source in a picture as it makes it surreal and heightened. i may put some still life work and observation studies up for critique too.
