    Thumbs up The magic hat

Strange drawing of the day can pull pretty much anything out of its magic hat. It is just a matter of relaxing your bonny head, letting your thoughts float in the ink-black lake of consciousness reflecting the tiny sparks of the stars looking down from the sky of reality.

    no compromise

Today we have something of a special treat. This drawing was done 20 years ago when emotions were overflowing right on the paper. Strange drawing of the day presents: "no compromise".

    guardian angel

Strange drawing of the day is offering you the "Guardian angel". Highly portable due to a huge sucker cap, it can be stack to your table, your monitor and even your door. Any intruder trying to steal your paper-clips or sticky notes will find an unpleasant surprise in form of sharp teeth and vicious temperament of your new pet.

    It's ok to eat fish

Strange drawing of the day has no words for this one, except these from Nirvana's Kurt Cobain:
"It's okay to eat fish because they don't have any feelings

They certainly are strange, I like.

    You should illustrate kids books.

Thanks for the comment! One problem with book illustrations is that they are supposed to depicts a particular scene in the book, while I like to follow the aestetic logic of the drawing itself while content is secondary. But you are right, the whimsical nature of the kid books is the closest to me. My favorite illustrator btw is Tove Jansson. Did you read her books? See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moomin

Btw I looked at your sketchbook and this is what strikes me - this painting
"step by step of this WIP" looks finished. That is where you should stop - it is beautiful as it is - half color, half graphics, full power - awesome!

    Thanks for all the comments!
There is so much stuff in each persons head. We are made out of the thoughts and inventions of all the people living during last 100 000 years of history, since the language is invented. You can only imagine what a creative mess it is! No wonder a combination of so many different things makes the output REALLY strange.

You should study some realistic stuff from life inbetween these because you can only bend the rules if you know them. So study anatomy of humans and maybe in this case animals and do gestures and so on.

Nothing wrong with the imagination though

Yeah i'm familiar with her work. Good stuff.

Keep posting, Its good that you're developing your own style of doing things. Have you thought about starting loose then getting more and more intricate with these designs? I would be interested to see some studies also.
