Yorei: Sketchbook Journey
Decided to make a sketchbook to post my random doodles, unfinished projects, and completed works. I'm currently 21 and I live in the state of Florida. I admit that I've been slacking on my art and I hope to pick it up and refine it. I regret neglecting my free time and I hope to start taking some art classes again in my university. I'm going to try and start practicing and share my progress here.
Please feel free to leave a comment. I would love to hear any advice and suggestion! I really want to grow as an artist!

I like what you did with the portrait, the character (yourself?) looks slightly smug and contented. You did well with the skin tones in particular, and nicely with the shadowing.
As for the apple, it just looks a bit too sketchy. Like, with a few details you only went halfway- like you wanted to draw something, but hesitated. Try again, and remember- with Photoshop, there's always an insta-undo!
Have fun, and enjoy your time on CA!

Yup! It's a self-portrait. Thank you so much for the compliments!
And I agree about the apple. I was trying to do a nice sketch of an object and try to achieve a block-like coloring. I think I may have hesitated and made it look too sketchy. D: I'll definitely try again sometime in the near future!
Thank you so much! Greatly appreciated, Nano!
