Its' free and it takes less than 10 seconds!
Hello CA.org from the Philippines, I've just discovered this site around a month ago and it has inspired me to continue on drawing!
Now a little about me....
Currently, my course is not in the Fine Arts but on what my parent's consider a more "practical" degree course (Social Sciences!?)
But last year I was studying Fine Arts and Major/Minor(ed) in Painting/Graphic Design. When I was studying fine arts I really didn't take it seriously yet I didnt hate it, but after browsing this site I've decided to continue that art degree!
Like the site suggests I'm into concept art, mostly character design.
Now after 1 year (well around 10 months or so..) of not drawing anything, except some doodles on the side, I wanna get in drawing shape so I could be ready this coming school year!
Nice start. Keep it up and be sure to mix in as much stuff from life as you can =).
Thanks everyone! Sadly those 2 works were done when I WAS taking fine arts.
I'll be uploading some of my other past works later and some Loomis I've done lately.
Some watercolor work during school year 2008-2009.
Now after not drawing "regularly" for almost a year , I bring you my (sad)sketchbook!
Deciding to go back to drawing is a serious decision, now get on with the serious doing too !
I really like the watercolors, but some of it is slightly out of proportion.
Even though I really love the colors on the horse, its movement isn't fully convincing.
I wish you good luck with your journey
Your sketchbook is cool. Just practice more on anatomy. It just took me just a few months to achieve the talent of what I have now.
UPDATE since some weeks ago!
Some Vilppu back to basics, getting the hang of it now!
keep it up man! but keep in mind that you have to learn from every study you do...sometimes you have to analyze something before putting it down..and sometimes the only way to learn something is to constantly draw it..improving each time.
Also, i don't know how much has changed since I graduated..but beware of instructors in our country who seem to think that art(fine art) must ALWAYS be a piece of social commentary against the government etc...( I got myself into a lot of trouble by not being "nationalistic" enough during my college days..ahh..UP)...what I'm trying to say is..adjust to the situation in class if need be..but keep note of what they are not teaching you and seek that out here...
I SWEAR ON THE GRAVES OF ALL THE TALENTED FILIPINO ARTISTS WHO HAVE GONE BEFORE ME, THE FILIPINO ART LEGACY WILL CONTINUE!
