    And a sketchbook is born

Hello all! My name is Adrian and I've been on and off drawing since I was about 10 (currently 17). Thought I would actually give it a serious consideration after seeing Miles_'s sketchbook. So here we are ALL critique is welcome. Also if anyone could point me in the direction of any great tuts they can think of, that would be awesome. I'm currently trying my hand in anatomy studies. Thanks!

P.S. What's the best file format and settings for saving images?

    Revival Time

Hello and thanks for visiting my sketchbook. From the flames of oblivion, I bring back to the present

Here's some things I've worked on with the most recent being the colored one (my first colored). My plan for the next update is women's studies and more studies in general.

Moar (Please excuse the language, it went with the whole theme at the time of this sketch).

    Not exactly women's anatomy studies...

More color work. Can anyone critique and offer me any pointers? Are my blends realistic and smooth?

An update containing some of my older work. I'm trying to get the scan settings right on my work scanner.

good start! remember to try memorizing the muscles when you study them on a anatomy model. then transfer the knowledge to your other drawings!

Thanks for the links Stpete! I'm waiting on a friend to return my Wacom tablet but once I get it back I plan to do a lot of digital work. I keep meaning to use Artsy to do some figure studies but I always get scared and procrastinate lol

In terms of muscles, Natalia, I still got a lot more practice to do. Case in point, see attached. His arms definitely need rework and I'm still having trouble with my leg anatomy so I haven't drawn em yet. I guess I should try to work on that first and foremost.

Sorry about picture quality, I'm still looking for a good scanner.

I finally found some good scanner settings. Here's an update with a female proportions model (done poorly) and MY FIRST FEMALE ANATOMY STUDY. Truly, it's the first study I've ever done..
