Just wanted to say thanks for popping in my sketchbook. Anyway, I really like the abstractions of emotions and that masked figure in post #680, it reminds me of Zant from Zelda.

hey stranger, i think using different materials with different reactions to light would help your stuff out, your croc guy has so many similar values it sort of kills the painting. I think this painting which is also an organic monster could really help you out, notice the smooth transitions and different value ranges http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_3p_Az9Y1-d...00/trooper.jpg

hey man just wanted to say thanks for your kind comment in my sketchbook..! the 'drawing chops' part is my favorite haha..

i really like your stuff.. that SP where your face is cracking, very believable

but those 3 last figure drawings really got me, the noise effects give a nice 3d effect.. i guess i'll have to play with that later

    cheers!

Alright here is a clayface portrait done for the daily sketchgroup we are running here at the ATXPOD, lots of fun and pretty entertaining to try and keep up with a character a day, working on some harrypotter ones now. Also, some sketches done on the bus while traveling too and from school, good practice in staying loose but they get a bit messy. Thanks for looking y'all!

The improvement, and the sheer amount of work you post here is just too much for my brain. I really would like to have something constructive to offer, but I don't even know where to start looking. Everything seems fine from the first look I had. I'll now spend a longer time flipping through this thread just to see all the great artwork that I missed.
    Cheers!

It doesn't cost You much to leave a comment in my sketchbook, and it can help me a lot.

Hey fool, you've been up to some crazy progress since i was last in here, your trek to Texas has really payed off, Anatomy, rendering/technique, and concepts have really blown up in a great way. My apologies for not coming through more often, but consider me inspired.

    Keep it up!

You have incredible line-work and shading with those pencil sketches and the compositions you make are really fun lol like the shark in the building eating a guy.
