    God of death

This was the first piece I did that made me really happy!
I hope I can keep up that level on the next ones.

Countless hours, several days. I`m so damn tired right now.
    But really happy too.

i love the wings and the helm there really great, was this a personal project?? The one thing that bugs me is the staff & the flag coming off it. The staff feels like it could be move a bit so it doesn't look like its coming out of his knee. the flag itself is good until u look at it behind him it feels stiff compare to his robes and the flames coming off his helm.

I really dig this, atmosphere, wings, background, staff, how he holds the skull, darkness behind him and his face/helmet is great. You did an excellent job. It's somewhere between Kekai Kotaki and Frazetta. Maybe these distant rocks could use some blur, but that is just my preference. I checked your blog, seems like you improved a lot. This image you posted and medieval warrior are my favorites. Nice studies, too. Thanks for sharing and keep them coming.

Looks dark and I think you have some renaissance artist influence like from the old masters.

WOW man, I love this image. The wings are rendered beautifully, as well as the character. I like the design as well of the character and he sits so well against the background.
My only issue, and its nitpicky is the feet of the character is blending into the skulls at his feet. I think if you desaturate the skulls it will distinguish the character from them. Just my crazy two cents. Want to see more stuff.. Kudos.

Looks really great, good job! Know how you feel when you have worked for ages and finally get a piece to a position that your happy with. I really like his belt reminds me of a boxers winning belt, and the head is particularly cool!

I think you have created a pretty interesting character. I especially like the way you handled the wings.
    Nice job.

I also like how the hair and wings combine. Or perhaps, they are one and the same? The helmet/mask looks very menacing too My only crit is that the flag looks very stiff. Judging by the rest of the image, the wind does not seem to be strong enough to make the flag stretch out like that. great works!

Man that is fantastic, you should indeed be proud of yourself!
    Great design!
Love the drapery, the helmet, the wings, and the entire background. solid.

    Down sides:
The flag coming off the staff looks so stiff that I thought it was skeithe at first glance.
The skulls are a bit weak.

If you have the flag on a seperate layer (I'm sure you do), then why not just loosen it up and make it flutter in the wind a bit?
