Might just be me and my opinion but it appears as if the dragon in the back isn't really looking at the two in the foreground.

I think I say this mainly because of the proposed distance between the two. It's looking towards the right which is where they are in the foreground but if it was looking towards the right with distance between them it might be staring off into blank space. Instead of just looking forward at the pair.

Thats just a thought though can't say for sure.

Hi guys, thank you for the comments.
JFierce, i dont want the dragon looking to the two, i wanna it looking to the other dragon. IŽll still do changes during the painting, lets see how itŽll look.

Love the progression shots in post #452 and really like the feel of the last post (warrior chick?), it has great movement to the pose! Definitely work more on her. Great stuff.

That's a very nice rendering. There are some issues with it though and it's not very dynamic as for the most part, all of the characters are the same size...with the exception of the character at the bottom left. I think you should have made the creatures in the foreground increase in size as they get closer to the viewer.

I'm no expert on composition so I can really critique on that. Looks like your focal point is the barbarian in the middle and seems like you're trying to show that in subtle ways which is good.

Finally, there are quite a few anatomical errors, the most noticeable being (for me at least) with the barbarian. The way his thighs connect to his groin is off and his right latissumus dorsi musle is too large.

I would post this in the C+C section where you could get better help with this piece. I still have a long way to go myself so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

    Otherwise, good sketchbook. Later!

I really like your gesture drawings - very dynamic. That's some of the inspiration I need, thanks!
