Hello, I've been recommended many to try and post my art on these forums. From childhood I've wanted to be an artist because I believe that's the only thing I'm truly good at.
Here's a link to a completed video sketchbook that I've posted on Youtube
Do I have potential to be a better artist?
Hey I checked out your vid your work is very stylised, I like the look. I would say you definately have potential yes, but im probably not the best for advice since im a bit young and new also. If theres one thing I could say it would be to just keep drawing everyday.
That squirrel is cute as well haha
During my 30 day Photoshop CS5 Trial, I made some attempts at speed painting. Like a normal person, the most experience I have with digital art is scanning pencil work and using the paint bucket tool. So as you can tell with these next pieces, they aren't exactly the most finished things. I can't truly blame the software(even if it has a WEE bit of a contributing factor) but I blame myself for not spending more time practicing doing this. :11:
Well, here's what I've done over my monthly try-but-can't buy session of CS5
Bah, I don't do art enough. Either I get distracted of I just lose interest. I feel as if I'm getting worse at it. I think it's just me doing all these experiments I seeing bad results, but I'm supposed to learn form my mistakes right? I'm frustrated. :57: If there is a way to not feel this sense of unfulfillment, please don't hesitate to tell me how.
holy hell my picture are big!
Very nice sketchbook so far! Love your style and use of colour, you've definitely got a lot of potential. I think the only way you can really get used to the feel of a tablet is to use it a lot - something you're already getting the hang of by the looks of things! Looking forward to seeing more.
Thanks. Now that I have more time to dedicate toward working, I'm sure I'll get a better feel for my tablet eventually. It's mostly a matter of what fits for me and I'm still in that process. Thanks again though.Very nice sketchbook so far! Love your style and use of color, you've definitely got a lot of potential. I've been working on this group of fairies for the week. I did this initial sketch messing about with a different art style than I've done before. So I'm mucking about with them, trying to color them in Flash. I'm going to doctor the lines soon so, I'll be working on this a little more.

Wow! You have quite much work to show! I have to say the quality has quite a big range, from good to not quite so ... but I admire that, you are not afraid to fail and put a lot of effort in your practice. That is a good approach! Keep them coming!
Thanks man! I try as I can to work on at least something everyday and post what I've done every week. It's a long slog, but I'm not a guy who gives up.
