    Sharkcellar's sketchbook and WIP's

    Hi all,

I've been following conceptart for a few years now but I've never really posted any of my work, only studies. Please feel free to offer any constructive crits as I'm hungry for useful feedback. And with that, here is a piece that I am currently working on...

Professor Yamashita's new student, Inue Izumi, is an odd one. It's rumored that she is half-Russian, but noone knows anything definite about her other than the fact that she has all of the boys in the school at each other's throats.

This was gonna be my entry for CHOW #190. I started it the night before the deadline after I read the character description. Unfortunately, I was shut out due to the submission count being maxed.

You show good understanding of skin tones. Great rendering aswell.
You could work more on the values though, at least in the last three pieces.

    ARRGH!,

Wow, thanks a lot! Your sketches are awesome. I especially like your Kurt Barlow. I'm gonna post more stuff eventually.

    Andorz,

I'm struggling and studying. Thanks for the encouragement!

Whoa man, that bulbous head is awesome! Keep it up, great colors!

I think you may need to study the planes of the head. www.planesofthehead.com has a neat little set of pictures in it which have been keeping me busy lately

    Nateman742,

Thanks for that link, though, to be honest, I don't have $100 to toss at a head maquette. Sure looks nice though...

    Aresa,

I have more stuff that I need to post. I've been updating my blog but not my CA sketchbook. I will get it up to date soon. Thanks for the compliments!

Neither do I, yet. The images are nice to work from, though, even if they are a little small!
