    Excellent!

This stuff's not always real satisfying to study. But, it's worth the effort.

Nice updates man. The shapes are really coming together. Every one of the shape pages show more improvement and understanding of perspective. With the mouse, you can definitely see the form.

If the struggle wasn't as hard as hell it won't be as rewarding when you do accomplish your goal. Even the greats had to struggle like us to be real great at their beginning.

Working the fundamentals with basic shapes in perspective I see
Draw from life too. Objects with basic shapes such as soup cans, shoe boxes, and baseballs with a single light source work well. Something I need to do more of myself.

    Keep posting!

You seem to lack confidence with the pose gestures- I'd know, I'm the same way sometimes <_<. Don't try and put everything in at once (muscles and form)- it's a sure fire way to frustrate to hell and back at this stage! You should simplify such studies down to rhythms and curves- first chapter of Vilppu (which you should be able to get for free on the website) is great for learning how to do this.

On top of the gesture you have done, try and 'solidify' by bulking up into 3D form, like a swarm of cylinders (I believe they call this the 'Industrial Method', as referenced in ImagineFX's bookazine on anatomy), and learn to apply your muscle study to the formation of such shapes

Personally, I wouldn't just block the cylinders in right away with nothing to go by- this is what learning gestures is for, to get the pinches, curves and everything you need just so, before you further work on the form and balance. Don't do what I did and rely too much on gestures and rudimentary shapes alone- always remember to utilise as much as you can from your muscle and form study, in order to get the best of it That includes skeletal study, getting the basic underlying shapes really, really helps when doing gestures that rely on proportion knowledge. Know these to the bone! Heehee..... *brick'd*
