Possible dumb question, but, do wacom pens work on all wacom tablets?

I have an old wacom graphire 4 tablet and an aiptek slim tablet.
The pens for both of them have broke. Aiptek is cheaper, but last i checked they dont sell replacement pens anymore, theyre always marked as "sold out".

My budget isnt quite flexible, so i was thinking of buying a cheap bamboo pen for 30$: http://www.amazon.com/Wacom-EP150E-B...5909762&sr=8-3

This seems like a bad question to me, but its been worrying me for a while. Will the bamboo pen work on a Graphire 4 tablet? Id assume it does since theyre all wacom products, but idk, id like to make sure.
Maybe my googleing skills are sub-par, but i couldnt find an answer on there.

    Thanks for any help

Thanks for the replies guys, I was able to find which pens were compatible but had to call wacom and ask.
Apparently there are different models of the bamboo pen, an older model which will work with the graphire 4 and a newer one that wont.

Sorry for not replying back, I would, but i dont want to bump this old thread back up. Thank you!

Hey - as chance may have it I did a quick search around Wacom's estore for the graphire4 pen and someone had written a review showing a rather useful link: Check it out and remember to read the info at the bottom of the page to understand the colour coding etc.

Wait a minute agh ... hold on I've just spotted they say it's for Asia Pacific versions only ... DOH! Sorry but if you go to wacom europe / support / faq it has this:

WHAT PENS ARE COMPATIBLE TO WHAT TABLETS TYPES?

Since the different tablet types work with different frequencies, not all pens are compatible to all tablets. Intuos supports only Intuos input devices, Intuos2 only Intuos2 devices, Intuos3 only Intuos3 devices. All UltraPad pens are compatible to PL/Cintiq (do not use UltraPen Ink or UltraPen Pencil on PL/Cintiq!), Graphire and Graphire2 devices are compatible among each other but not to other tablet types.
    Edit:

Sorry if the above info isn't very helpful but I reckon you're best bet is to go check out the wacom forums and ask there

In general most wacom pens are not cross compatible. However, in the graphire line I do remember one graphire being able to work with the Bamboo, it was probably the 4

The Graphire digital pen is interchangeable with the Bamboo digital pen.
