Axec: The image I posted is the full resolution file, so there's no larger version.

Spazmatic: I think the composition, light quality, and mood are really nice. If I were to nit-pick, I would say that the rock textures are a little unnatural looking. I would go find some more reference on alpine rock formations. I did a super quick paint-over of how I would have handled the rock textures, but that's just my personal interpretation.

Nice work in this thread man!
    However,
not sure that last piece posted by spazmatic is original...

Ah, so the thumbnail group that you posted was done by someone else? Then it looks like spazmatic painted over that person's art as a way of learning from it. Nothing wrong with that, but in my opinion it would be best to acknowledge the original source.

Glad you like the art! I guess my style is sort of all over the place. I cut my teeth doing architectural renderings in a more or less comic book style, but I'm gradually teaching myself to use a more painterly style. The evil castle painting is for a game that should be coming out for iPad pretty soon: http://www.evilmasteroverlord.com/

A panel from my webcomic "Mindfold", showing an airplane flying towards an abandoned city in a desert. I made a time-lapse recording of myself creating this image, and added audio commentary about the techniques that I used. For those who might be interested, the video is viewable here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sIIi6OGl3fI&t=1s

Trade show exhibit design sketch. One of my retail design presentation drawings, done in an "industrial design" style. The subject matter isn't very exciting, but sometimes clients want something very straightforward and practical. I made a recording of the drawing process, and dubbed an audio commentary on top of it, to give an idea of the techniques that I used to make this drawing. The video is viewable here, in case such things interest you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hovjBMNq0bk&t=202s
