    Gooood...
School kicked me totally out of my daily drawing routine.
I need more self discipline to get myself to draw in the free minutes. :<

    Stuff from today:
    - finished my sketchbook page
    - tried out a new gesture method, but it looks like crap!
    - anatomy from hampton as usual

    Thanks for stopping by!
    Sil

Yay, finally weekend and I was able to produce some more stuff.

After school I got my ass up to continue through Hamton's book and this evening after 5 hours live streaming I finished my two environment studies.

    Comment & Critique welcome!

    Hey
Evident improvement since the start. Looks like you're practising all the right stuff, so keep going.
You've started pushing yourself to finish pictures, which is great. This is not for the sake of having a refined picture but for the learning process. When you put all you can into a picture, you'll quickly realize where your weaknesses lie.

    HunterKiller_ Thanks man!

    ------------------

So much stuff to do and over the last couple of days I also had some sick headache
Going to update the little stuff I did in a few days.

But while I felt sick I thought about some art related stuff and and decided that I need to do more personal pieces and studies FOR the personal stuff.
No more random studies, or at least less
Just like John Silva, Sam Carr and all the other guys.
They are doing great and punching out so many personal pieces every month.
I don't want to copy their way of doing stuff, but it seems more logical than the stuff I am doing right now.

If anybody got some thoughts about that, feel free to write them down.
    Sil

The last enviro looks good Except the lower left corner that's so sharp and high contrast that my eyes wonder there but it's so small area without something really interesting there. The focus is better in the distance, the rocks and mountains are such a soothing view

    shiNIN Thanks!

    --------------------

Today something totally out of my comfort zone.
    Poults!
I have a personal piece in mind for a challange over at a german forum, so I need to practice them.
This is also a good way to do more studies related to an personal piece

Right now my focus is on getting their form and overall look into my mind.
After that I'll paint a few in color.
No real time limit here, so I practice them until I think that it's good enough for my use. :>

    So yup,
see you tomorrow with more poults.
    Hopefully better ones from imagination.

PS: Need to observe better! :<

Aw cute little chickens~ :> You did a good job there. I'd be interested in more animal studies, maybe you wanna do some more?

By the way, beautiful landscapes...as always.

    forestdino Thanks man!

Arti Nah. Animals are not thaaaat kind of topic that interests me. I am more into figures and landscapes as you know.

Creusa KUNG FU CHICKEN! Thanks creusa. Always loving your posts!

Ramalooke I remember that you told me in the skype conference that you're going to write me a comment that would change my life, didn't you? Sorry my friend, you failed haha!

    --------------------------------

    Aloooooooooooooooha!
Guess who disappeared again without saying a word? Right. It was me!

Sorry but I lost my motivation for a quite long time again.
Sadly I didn't draw that much, but I think I am back again. At least I am full of motivation again!
No more explanations because it really doesn't go any deeper, haha!

I also changed my nickname from "Silwynar" to "Pixelwalker" as you perhaps already noticed. The old one sounded female and overall I just didn't like it anymore. ;>

Here some stuff I did while I was away and also a recent portrait of a beautiful friend!

    Good to update again.
    Feels good!

    Hello my friend :>
I'm still not used to your new nickname. So please, don't be mad when I call you "Sil" sometimes..

To me, it is always great to see your studies. c: The first portrait reminds me of those renaissance portraits...especially the eyes. Did you use any as reference?
    Very well done.
    Love the penguins... SCHNAUZER!! xD

marcocasalvieri Thanks! Tom Scholes looks niiice! Thanks for the tip.

    ---------------------------------

    Stuff from today.
I installed myself the program called "Cold Turkey". It let's you block all websites and games you want to until a specific time you can set.
So I blocked Facebook, different forums and all my games for today.
This daaaaaaay was soooo long! Need to get myself under control again that I can get this output without this "helper"
    http://getcoldturkey.com/

    Sup, enough advertisment, lol.
    Here's the stuff from today.
A few perspective studies, a studie after an user called "Snafu" (also a user of ca.org).
And the last painting is a personal piece I started yesterday.

    Cheers!

Hmhmm, not really happy with today's master study.
Perhaps I should have painted more details.

Anyways, here it is and let's get moving to the next pieces.

Yeah, managed to go to life drawing for the first time in my life.
2 hours, with quick gestures first and then longer and longer poses. Longest one was "only" 20 minutes.
But while drawing her I really noticed that there's still sooooo much to learn.
Need to get more accurate when drawing.
And I still tend to do ugly lines when I feel unsure while drawing.
    Mooore practicing. ~

Time to try out the new ConceptArt.org

I know, it's been a while since my last post but there was a lot of school stuff to do till now.
But most of it is over for the next 4 weeks so I can draw more again.
I am so happy when school is over and I can go to art school. I don't want to learn math anymore!

So here's just a big bunch of pure randomness!

Phuuu. And it took me some time to arrange the pictures again in their right order. I hope they will still work on it. ^^
