    YJ's Sketchbook

Hello I'm a lazy guy that has been making excuses not to draw for the whole of last year, but now that I have all the time in the world to draw its time to nut up or shut up (and draw). Hopefully I'll be laughing at these paintings in a couple more weeks and couple more studies......

For some reason I really love the way you did that old guys forehead.
Anyways, I look forward to see your progress in the future.

Awesome!!! I like the armour study you need to send me that pic, my crit would be to get some larger brush strokes going, I can see little hard rounds all over the place! apart from that great start keep going.

    Nickybeats- Thanks man!
Benjie- Yeah using too many small hard rounds is a problem I have, but even when I use big brushes my stuff still looks awful because of my badly layered brush work...
we should have another stilllife painting day something
    Metal Fingers- Thanks, will do!

Well, more ugly studies to kill you eyes with, and a quick original space ship thing to prevent people from being bored by my dull studies.

Yeah to much overlaying of brushes tends to make things look weird and muddy. But anyways the first study looks wicked awesome! there’s gonna be shit loads of improvements in this thread.

    in2eternity - I'm trying to post more.....sort of...
Benjie - Yeah I'm trying to get rid of bad habits

Man it has been a month since my last post already? Man I suck..
Been in a drawing slump recently and have only been producing shit...ah so depressing,
but since my city just got hit by a huge earthquake it made me appreciate internet, electricity and my life a lot more so I thought I'd post
Two shitty studies that I got lazy with and a failed enviro from mind.
