    Aha! Found you. Really great sketchbook, even though I haven't browsed all pages yet. But what I've seen so far is awesome.

    Battlepaint- Ahhh love your username xD! And thank you ;0;
    TFsean- I'm glad you think my figures are brutal xD I don't think my sketchbook is that great, but thank you for all the compliments!
    Sickbrush- Thanks man, you rock too!
    JaninaG- Hey thanks for dropping by haha, glad you like my stuff ;u;

    Here's some fun pencil drawings. I feel like I haven't drawn in my sketchbook in a long time. But I decided that I need to start tackling male anatomy. I like to be able to make things up from my head sometimes without reference. I've never have an issue with females but males I always draw a blank. I never used to like pose maniacs, but it was a great starting point for gestures and getting a feel for the male form, and they added a lot of nice and new poses so I was having fun drawing them And because live models aren't available to me I stole my brothers friend and made him pose for me xD And then I drew my skeleton, Stan. The end.

    Great stuff... donno how I haven't wandered in here before!
    I really like the body type exploration that you've done- and the buck-toothed kid in 57-58. I have a thing for jacked-up smiles for some reason. Maybe it's because so many cartoons have the simple white band. I really like noses too- maybe for the same reason.... too many little triangles where the nose should go...
    Anyways- fun SB so far - Your fine arts stuff is good too- but I'm always drawn to cartooning.
    Happy sketching.

    Rhubix- Awe thanks man for dropping by Teeth are amazingly fun to draw, as well as noses, you can get so much character out of those alone xD Glad you like my stuff!

    I took a really pretty character of mine and decided to age them, and make them really ugly. I want to do it to everyone now.

    I also found a new brush in my library that I didn't know was there. It's kinda like the digital version of my woodless graphite pencil, I love it!

    Been working on this on and off the past couple of days. I took my badass character with the eye patch and hawk and conceptualized her portrait without her eyepatch/hat/armor/clothing for my own understanding.

    The goal here was not perfection or photo realism, BUT painting enough information so that the character felt 'believable'

    I was looking back at stuff and wasn't happy with how.. flat I make everything and without texture, so I attempted to revive that energy !

    1. I did a study of someone's work I admire; ekwn on DA http://ewkn.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d4oyj98
    2. Photostudy of awesome clouds from a picture I took.
    3. This is a very strange image, but I like it. I tried a new painting technique!

    I spend 2 hours each on the studies and a little over and hour on the last one. Hopefully I can make some new brushes soon to solve my problems faster >:3

    ^ That is seriously amazing. I think you really succeeded in creating a believable character. In spending so much time obsessed with anime and comic books, I personally love to see a dramatic character like this (scars, attitude, etc) who still comes across looking like a real person as opposed to the bland templates of "bad ass" that are so common in the aforementioned mediums.

    I was going to say that I'm envious of your lines, and then I realized I was envious of your colors as well. And the accuracy of your studies. And your style. So let's just say I envy your talent. The sketchbook is looking great and I'll be back to check on it as it updates because this is seriously motivating me to draw more

    How do you keep your lines so clean in your studies? Is it really just single strokes? I have to paint in my lines and it's something I am trying desperately to overcome. Any tips for a beginner?

    Lyraina- Thanks for visiting That's so awesome you like my designs I always think they're bland or something :3

    bouroune- whoawow thanks so much for the compliments I'm glad there's improvement ;0; i'm trying very hard and it's so nice to hear specially about my brushstrokes!!!

    Alex Eh- yessir I certainly will! thanks for dropping by :3

    Art Minded- ahhhhhhomg I'm glad you like her xD!!!! She is very fun to
    imagine... woot glad that I motivated you and you like my stuff, that's awesome!!!!!! And for advice/tips bud; It's mostly all single confident strokes, just have absolutely no fear when your laying down the strokes that define that one side/plane/surface with that ONE stroke!!!! I personally am a sucker for dramatic lighting and high contrast images/scenarios, because you can see so many crisp and defined forms instead of it all mudding together. It makes it's easier to see what makes for color/value and contrast. Definitely do some dramatic lighting studies and that will help with the confident stroke part in painting a lot Also brushes that make crisp edges and then fade a little when you let up on pressure on your stylus.

    This is W.I.P. not done!!! I'm trying to update EVERYDAY. so I stay motivated and make stuff instead of once a month, so sorry if I don't have a million studies to show everyday. I'm basically pretending I'm back in college and SOMETHING is due for homework each day, so I make stuff, and this place is my professor I have to show it to xD And then get yelled at, and told to do it over ;0;

    Alex Eh- Yes!!! Thank you for the advice I agree and I think I've finally got that groove back too, thanks ;3

    Studies from last night. I wanted to try different skin tones so I did a figure study and then I added things that weren't there like the cloud and mushroom that talks, to keep myself from falling asleep of boredom... studies bore me sometimes so I made it fun! I gotta get some male studies happening soon...

    Jessibelle- Thanks for dropping by dear! It's good to hear from you :> I look forward to your updates as well, glad we can inspire eachother!! battle on girl!

    So that whole update everyday thing >_>... ahaha

    I MADE ICEBERGSS and timed myself. I used different brushes for each, cause I'm trying to figure out what works best for SPEED, and none of them really do, so I'm going to have to spend a long time doing trial and error with brushes. I'm happy that everything here in this post is under 30 minutes though ... one day I will be able to be fast and make it look decent!!!!

    FAST ART- thanks for dropping by, glad you like my work!
    Alex Eh- hey man nice to see you again, I'm trying my best, thanks for all the support!

    My schedule has been out of whack lately and I've had to put off digital painting and art for a bit. I started up again. But XENOBLADE CHRONICLES came out on friday, it's absolutely phenomenal. I've clocked in 15 hours between yesterday and today. PLAY IT!!!

    Enjoy my pretty character pink haired bird lady and purposely ugly nancy character. Both were made specifically trying new techniques so I can get faster and (hopefully) more textured/painterly. yay!

    ahh, i love the nancy one! she's got so much character and personality, ha. it just comes right through :') your art always has so much personality anyway, it's something i really love about it... ahh, she reminds me of tim burton's alice in wonderland somehow too, like she'd fit right in in that kind of environment, ha.

    Eric-Anthony- Hey thanks for dropping by man! Glad you like the colors.
    Jessibelle- Yo babe, Nancy was really fun to do, she's not done, I'm gonna add a character sheet with maybe from fun facial expression exploration/ technical concept stuff. She probably could fit in there, I've been studying medieval armor and clothing to purposely influence my work Thanks for all your wonderful support, it's always nice to hear from you!

    I've held off studies for now and have shifted my focus to my portfolio. I've finally completed one piece, that's been on a journey of procrastinated progress forever. I'm so slow. I hope this looks done. What do you guys think?

    I also started a new enviro from imagination, so far, lets see how far this can get pushed

    Kickass sb! You've got some really inspiring work here.

    I just have to mention the skeletons from a bit back kill me. They're literately skeletons, but they seem so full of life and movement.

    Keep it up!
