More w.i.p. progress on these deadly character sheets! Now that I'm finally starting to understand what I'm doing more these are slowly starting to pick up the pace And I'm really happy with how far I've been pushing the textures and patterns! Now I just need to make more content for them and complete it lol

these are looking great! the characters are both very individual, but there seems to be a common link between them - it's easy to see they belong to the same universe/ story. also, this is looking very intriguing; can't wait to see where it goes... and i'm always envious of guys who can do creature design that well. ^ x) i love how you've managed to keep them so saturated and colourful, but they still have that disturbing, scary quality.
yeah, so i basically love eeeverything in that last post.

oooh, awesome, i see your control over proportions and colors are improving! Keeping the lines looser seems to let yourself go and create awesome stuff! keep posting!

Jessibelle- Thanks! Glad to know my original intent read for you Thanks so much! Glad you approve XD!
redrobot- Thanks staying loose keeps your mind open on the painting i think xD it helps! thanks for the kind words!

So I'm tackling an environment now! A cave, and like I don't know how to make it dark without using brown, and im pissed off cause it will print out black. I'm trying to add other light sources so there's reflected light and warm/cool contrast. so frustrating!

FINALLLYYYY one of my portfolio pages is done @_@ I think before this final design, i did 6 different layouts. This took too long.

I KINDA get the feeling a crammed a lot into a tiny space, what do you guys think, then again this is being displayed as 11" by 17" on paper.

The lower half is a promotional postcard mailer version* which is 5" by 7"

I have not slept in 2 days =____= *whinewhinewhine*

xinranliu- HAHA thanks man! ( was that referencing riki oh? XD )
sony- thanks for the kind words, I try to bring as much personality as possible to characters.

Made a step out of my comfort zone! A quick painting of boston, from outside my studio window at my college it was from a photo i took a while back, but still... i miss it already!

Trying to learn perspective and incorporate more architecture. I feel the more i practice painting landscapes and buildings the more comfortable i'll become with it so i can then bend it and start using my own imagination.

Also I'm trying to vary my color usage, and that's what i focused on here too, making the sky saturated and the buildings more muted.
