    REVOLUTION: Alice's NEW Sketchbook

Alright, that's it. I've had enough of being depressed over the baloney I produce.

I want to be an ARTIST, damn it.

I will start posting shortly. My aim is to come back here every night with drawings that I did in the day.

Oh look, it's the first of the month... how appropriate for the first posts of this sketchbook, eh?
I'm not exactly sure what inspired me to do the first one. I got off the computer and I was all jittery and excited and "IREALLYWANNADRAWSOBAAAAD". Think that's the first time I've felt like that in a looooong while... haha

Welcome and good job on the violin. Practice, practice. You'll get there.

Chelli - Thank you! I joined this site about a year ago, but I've only just started getting truly motivated. I have a couple of drawing books that teach a lot of things about figure drawing, but I don't actually have a book with lots of anatomy illustrations in them, though I really should go and find one. I sometimes copy poses and useful pictures from the Sports section in the newspaper, as you can see with that guy I drew three times.

Bartovan - Thanks! I did that last year. Thought it'd make a nice thumbnail on the forum.

    Traveler - Thanks very much!

Jujunee - I definitely won't be neglecting my sketchbook this time, hehe. Thank you!

Doodled a cat that was relaxing outside. And then more stuff from the Sports section. I would have drawn more but, I guess I just HAD to leave getting my things ready for school till the last minute... lol

Violin came out great. Do you play? (im a cellist myself). Keep working on the figure though. Try thinking in terms of underlying structure as oppose to outline. The Soccer player is probably the strongest of the figures. KEEP POSTING! and happy sketching

The soccer player's proportions and anatomy are still off. Your perception of distances are also off if you have actually used a photo reference for the sketch.
