    The Journey Ahead

Howdy, folks. I'm trying to work up a portfolio of finished environment/landscape pieces, so here's my latest effort.

I'm calling it done, but I'd love any crits you have on it regardless.

    Looks pretty great to me!

For some reason, the bright green foliage seems...weird somehow, but I couldn't exactly say why. Maybe it's just me.

Beautiful light. I think I know what Giacomo was saying. It doesn't have that randomness around the edges of the tree and it somewhat looks like spider web with a green color. I would show some branches coming through and break it a little.

I do like the image, it's definitely well executed but something confuses me. It has two centers of attention and I can't make out which one is more important. It's not the usual 'silhouette in the foreground gazing at something awesome' At first glance I notice the two dudes but then I see the distant spot of light. Since it's this small yet brought to sight in such a manner I get the feeling it's uberimportant (the directed light supports this feeling further). So looking at the two guys that spot naggs me in the corner of my eyes. I hope you get what I mean.

looks awesome. Some of the lighting and shadows on the rocks were confusing me about the direction of light. The fade from lit area to darker areas could be improved as some of the lighting on the bushes seem abit misplaced. great atmosphere created and brilliant placing of detail. a awesome entry.
