I would like to have the skill and the knowledge to draw faces and heads like you do.

LtPlissken Thanks, but all you have to do is practise,as i did, thats all.
I saw your sketchbook and a lot of cool stuff is over there. You did a big progress, keep going!

latigid Thank you!I will post some more, but what is SB?

For all this stuff i have used References to study.
The three rhinos i did in a Zoo in Münster(Germany),a lot of fun.I do not know when it was anymore, some years ago i think.
And the five faces i did in a library i Münster also, there was a corner where people could read newspapers and so on.
All the rest is from photos.

I am just too fascinated with your work. I have a few questions about your drawings:
    1. This last pencil drawings, are they digitally edited after you scan them, I mean do you clean the lines or you do some contrast/brightness enhancements or they are come as they are in original?
    2. What kind of graphite pencils do you use for your drawings (mechanical, 2B, 3B?) and do you use sometimes something for blending the shadow values?
    3. Do you use an eraser when you refining your drawings and if you do, what kind of an eraser?

Could you make a step by step tutorial of one of your more detailed drawings, cause I am really interested in your technique and style. I would really appreciate that.
Thanks in forth for your answers.

LtPlissken Thank you!I am glad you like my stuff!
Like i promised here are the answers to your questions,i hope not too late.
And i hope you can understand my english

1.This last pencil drawings, are they digitally edited after you scan them, I mean do you clean the lines or you do some contrast/brightness enhancements or they are come as they are in original?

Yes, I clean some lines in PS because some of them just overlap on the paper in my real sketchbook with other sketches, so if I want to separate them,I scann the page, cut them off in PS, i compose them, and finally I do some contrast/brightness enhancements because the scann is not dark enough.

    2. What kind of graphite pencils do you use for your drawings (mechanical, 2B, 3B?) and do you use sometimes something for blending the shadow values?

    I use a mechanical pencil mostly,for the first lines a HB,then to go darker a B.
Some people do not mix HB lead with a B lead because they think this could make their drawings look dirty, but I don’t think so,I use them both together.
A wooden pencil I use for more loose sketches, for example the 3 rhinos,
I did them in a Zoo, very fast and expressive. For those kind of sketches a wooden pencil is great,it has very lively strokes!
For blending the shadow values I just use the pencils!I don’t use other stuff like a smudge tool ore something ,I never liked them.

    3. Do you use an eraser when you refining your drawings and if you do, what kind of an eraser?

Yes ,I use an eraser, much.I use 2 different:first the soft eraser like plasticine, sorry I don’t know the name for it,second a hard eraser which looks like a plastic pen,you can
    remove the eraser lead there.

Could you make a step by step tutorial of one of your more detailed drawings?

At the moment I don’t have the time for a step by step tutorial, sorry.
But I hope I could at least answer your questions right.

    Hello my friend.
I feel so great that you answered my questions.
Of course I understand your English, you wrote everything great.

I do the same with my scanned pencil sketches as you do, edit them a little bit in photoshop and enhance the contrast and brightness a little. As you can see in my sketchbook I started to do portrait and head sketches your way, cause I said I definitely like your style.

I did not heard about people not liking to mix HB with B lead. Everyday I learn something new.

Yes, I totally understand that you have no time for making a tutorial, no problem, maybe sometime in the future, cause your art is just so great.

Hey, thank you very much one more time, will keep following your work. We will be in contact.
    Keep posting ....
