hopeless shade : thank you. I'm not sure what you mean by 'that'. The pearly strings in the hair are probably brush spacing & min spacing, I used one of Don Seegmiller's brushes, that normally come on a CD with his book, the brush is called 'Dons beads' (get em here). For the shirt, it's just a lot of spots to try and give it a wooly texture to make it a little more interesting.

Lizkay: nice colours on the warrior.

the painting itself is realy well done

for >>my<< taste this outlines comming better with markers

    >>that is whats makes this world so interesting<<

    There's no accounting for taste.

I`m new to this coloringbook thread,i didnt note that

we are able to change the outlines that much!!!

For those who may ask, yes i cut off her other half! Reason? It's either me being lazy, or just being "artistic" with the half face and all... .

@matesch : I dont think there are any rules for the outlines, it's down to the artist's preference.

That said, I see the original sketches have something of their own, it's just hard to stay in the lines if you paint in this 'painterly' fashion, since you have to join the lineart with the color at some point to start paint over all the edges and blend. I can't paint any details or edges if I have the lines appearing on another layer because I dont know what it will look like without the lines, so it's more of a technique problem I have to sort out.

It IS also a need to be more aware of the original sketch. In this case the main change I did is the shape of the mouth, which makes the character somewhat different. I am aware of that, and try to do better next time That said, I feel there are parts of a sketch which need be less 'rigid', such as her shirt.

Matesch- really cool, very quick, though it isnt clear where the light is coming from, and the outline could use some work , but verrrrrry cooool, i like the colours

oven g love- i love it, i especially love the face, it has that "what are you lookin' at" tough guy thing goin on, because of the gun, and the blood red colour, then you see that tiny, cute, wee head cooooool

but either way theyre all better than MINE
