I tried my hand at coloring some David Cousens lines again; I'm still trying to improve my values, and I liked the line art because it gave me a chance to do strong, focused lighting, which I don't do often at all.

I had so much fun with the last one, I decided to try another. Lines this time are by subsonic gerbil. I think I'm improving, but I've always been a terrible judge of my own work.

Senira: You've done some nice work there, the skin shading is particularly strong. I see you've started on a secondary light source which is always a good idea. I'd recommend pushing this even more in future work as it really helps to add depth to an image. Keep up the good work

Willy-Wilson: You managed to get the paint looking like that on a multiply layer? Nice one!

had some fun with this one. Encountered a few places where I didn't understand how things worked, so I just winged it. Learned a lot too! Thanks!

Hey guys, I'm kinda new to the whole digital art and coloring, so i just gotta know. How the heck do you take a sketch and get the outlines done? i have seen sooooo many different ways to do it, but i want to know the most common way of going about this. I see many line art done with such fine lines, I want to know how its done.

Does anyone know where to find the source material for this? The images in the first post are broken.

    Thanks!

    Unhappy

I saw this one earlier and felt like trying to paint it... I didn't have much time, though, so here's what it looks like after about 20 minutes.
I would also like to ask... Is the sketch below ok for submitting for coloring here?

Rummaging through my hard drive, I found these. Colored a long time ago, but pretty sure I didn't post 'em for whatever reason. Anyway, thought I'd dump em now

    cheers

I'm new to the boards and fairly new to digital coloring, but I couldn't pass up using SeB C BiEn's work. I kept things pretty simple, partly out of laziness and partly because I wanted to preserve the unique look of the line-work.

I haven't posted in a long while, and this thread's been pretty quiet of late so I thought I would post something I did that seems to fit the New Media Coloring Book pretty nicely.

(Done in Open Canvas 4 if anyone's curious.)
