    Welcome To The Inferno

I'm a fifteen year old home-educated (note, NOT home-schooled! It's an education, not a school!) art student from the UK. I love art more than anything, and I've been drawing for as long as I can remember. Currently working with the Crimson Daggers to improve as fast as possible. As well as art, I play three instruments (well, I try to) I play with Unreal Development Kit, and I take lots of photos. And, sometimes, I write.

No promises about how often I will update. I'll try to update this more than I did my old one though. My CGHub sketchbook is the most updated out of all my art websites, and every once in the while I can be found on dA.

    02MAR: Just another dayyyy

Right, now for the art. A sketch of Vibeke Stene to practice my lineart, a randomly-painted-at-3am still life, and a not-so-random still life. All were painted in SAI paint tool.

I would have uploaded a colour photo study if CA hadn't baulked at the file size -.- But yep. That's it for now :3

Hey guys, long time no see I know. Thanks for your comments! Have discovered a trick to stop jpg files molesting my art, so expect to see more of me, haha. Here's some new art.

The first three are from an exhibition I did with an art class, which is showing all through this month at our local Arts Centre. Pretty awesome :3 They're on basic printer paper, in Carbon Pencil which is sort of like a cross between charcoal and pencil.

    http://cghub.com/forum/attachment.ph...3&d=1265342180
Here's a link to a couple pictures of the exhibition. All of my art is properly framed now, but I don't have a photo of it like that. I'll have to take some next time I'm in town.

A quick enviro sketch I started a few days ago. I don't know if I'll finish it but I really like the vines. The backround is really WIP, though.

    A study done on my DS Lite, a bit old but I still like it;

Another superquick enviro I definitely won't finish, though it was lots of fun to sketch.

A quick photostudy from the other day. Ref is from a photography project I did a while back.

And some hand studies from Bridgman in my new moleskine.

Wow that took a long time to upload/write out, haha

Cool. Keep posting and getting advice from the people here and the speed you learn will be amazing.

There are some issues with your environments. The values are really washed out, no contrast. Because of this they end up looking very flat no sense of depth to them. Use the values to seperate the grounds from each other and they will instantly read better.(fore, middle, and back).

Right, here's yesterday/today studies. Then I have to go check out Stockholm in Googlemaps streetview. Where my great grandmother grew up, I think. Always wanted to go to Scandinavia, so I'm pretty happy to finally be able to see the streetview at least xD

Thanks! I focus first on colour, then on texture, so if I don't have enough time, I often don't get the textures finished -.- I will try and find a couple hours to work on a still life and deal with that.

Been listening to so much Leaves Eyes and Amon Amarth lately, hence the pencil sketches. And a tree study. Just... cause. Agh. I haven't been doing much are in the last few days, had a few other things to deal with, and lots of writing and organising stuff. Pencil sketches, but no real digital painting. Will get to that soon though I hope.

EDIT sorry for crap photos. I think my camera batteries are dying again

Okay, here's my more interesting update. Some photo studies, and some pen-and-ink sketches in my Moleskine. Me, love Scandinavia? Hmm, wonder where you got that idea o.O

These last few are incredible. I am an absolute sucker for scribbly lines, and though the style is seen more often nowadays you are very good at it. And the subject is beautiful as well!

Hey, guys, I am back with another update :3

Janos, thanks! My parents both love pen and ink work so I've practiced it a fair bit. And yeah, Norway is amaaazing.

A design I did, prompted by a friend, I never finished it or showed it to him though. I would like to redo it at some point.

Some photostudies. Second is unfinished, I know- it was 4am, I needed sleep. And last one, I have a video process for, don't know why I recorded it though... meh.

    Now back to studying.

Okay, 3am update cause I'm in a great mood, ie hypeeeer

Quick study of a flower in the dark; I had to stop to go to my music class... then I came in afterwards super hungry, and there was dad's cheese selection box out, and some poppy seed crackers, and apples. So I took some upstairs, and painted. While eating a replica of what I was painting, of course.

    Munch.

More arttt. Nope, couldn't stay away from pen and ink too long. First two pages are from life, drawn while in the car. The rest are me practicing architecture and man-made crap cause it's a weakness of mine. Lots more to do on this today.

Real life keeping me away from the comp a bit lately.

Ink works from today, blah. Wasn't very excited about them, so they are a bit lacklustre.

Threw some colour on the last one cause I like the fact that the houses are red, different to where I live.

Finally got Lady Aveira to look right, I knpw the proportions are off D: I woul have posted my Cassien sketches but the photos didn't come out very well, and my digital ones are on dad's computer not mine D:

And finally a halfassed painting I will never finish cause it's small. Just wanted to capture the idea before I lost the mental image.

Some Norway studies from the past few days and a character portrait. Just got the full version of Sai tonight, which is awesome.

I can't find my USB thing for my DS though, so I can't upload any of the quick DS sketches I've been doing D:

That's it fortonight, sorry forthe lack of posts on the CD threads. It's a lot to keep up with, what can I say -.-

    You're 15?

Your work shows maturity, way beyond your years. I can't imagine how good you're going to be ten years from now.

I love the scandinavian location sketches, truly excellent, well done and keep it up.
