    Ater,

    The Variable Round brush is now in Painter 8's Oils category. You may find it useful to bookmark this page;

    I still cant find how to enable the brush selector. All I have for windows to display is like custom brush.

    In the Painter 8.1 Window menu, look at the 8th item in the drop-down list. It should read 'Hide Brush Selector Bar'. If it doesn't, click on the item 'Show Selector Bar'.

    Next, choose Window menu> Arrange Palettes> Default. You should now be able to see the Brush Selector Bar in the top right corner of your monitor. Click the left icon in the Brush Selector Bar to bring up a drop-down menu to select the appropriate brush category, and the right icon to select brush variants within that category.

    To familiarise yourself with Painter's basic features, select Painter 8/8.1 Help menu> Help Topics. There is also a free, updated user guide available on Corel's ftp server; *Click here*.

    See my post today in the Painter 7/8 Feedback & Help forum thread named Don's Brushes.
    Please do not PM me with Painter questions. Instead, post them here where everyone can benefit from them. Thanks!
