I cannot help myself but think that the shield on the last pic is somewhat deformed and I dont mean by perspective. Maybe you should check that again.
The metal effect looks really awesome, as well as the rock on the left.
Something you could change, would be to show the cape on the front, since these are normaly somehow visibly attached at the front.
And maybe tilt the swor a little bit, so that it's not parallel to the lines on the background floor anymore.
Just my two cents.
^ what shockowaffel said. I guess is the way he's holding the shield that looks a bit weird, perhaps painting the monster's reflection on it would work? Or not, the shield doesn't seem to be directing towards the monster... sorry, I guess I didn't help at all, lol. But everything is so well rendered!
Wow! How did you make the monster look like it was flying?
Sweet updates man! That last one is so dynamic and the armour is really good
nice work on the new piece. although it feels a little unfinished, some more work on the focal areas wouldn't hurt. right now there's no real focus in the image. for example that glowing background stuff kinda doesn't recede as much as it should, even if you blurred it a bit it still competes too much with some of the foreground elements.
PieMonster: Thanks for dropping by dude. You are totaly right about the creature, this was bothering me the whole time, but i realy forced myself to finish it so i got careless and messed up on alot of stuff.
Tugelbend: Thanks dude, yea i gave up more then once on this hehe.
Luk999: Thanks for the encouragement, will give my best to improve the pencils.
fudgeloaf: I'm Glad you like it.
shockowaffel: Thanks for the crit, i heard from alot of people that the shield seems weird and i guess you are right, but i am sick of this piece and wont touch it anymore hehe.
Guik: It does help for sure man! next time i have to force my ass to plan out the picture more before i go to painting. Thanks for stopping by.
Illeander: I just selected the wing of the monster and applied some motionblur to it.
billakong: Well if you think you dont learn anything there and you are dedicated enough to study your ass of on your own you should totaly do it! It was the best thing i have done.
Ricardo Robles: Thanks ricardo!
GEB: Thanks dude, love your work!
Gloominati: I lost patience with it, i am ok with the level of finish on this but i know what you mean, i still have problems to balance my illustrations out and give them a proper focalpoint. Thanks for dropping by and pointing that out.
I compiled the steps of the last illustration, i posted most of the steps in here already but i thought it would be good to have them merged together.
