loving the pencils, they're great! The ink sketches look a bit stiff though, in comparison.

Some really great work here! However there seems to be something odd going on when it comes to the faces. Particularly with your comic characters, and particularly the men (although not exclusively so). Now this may simply be a style thing, or maybe I'm totally off, as no one else has mentioned it, but to my eye the faces of your characters tend to be kinda 'scrunched' and sort of 'all the same'. the upper lip area tends to be rather elongated, the noses tend to be rather short, and the eyes lean toward thin-ish slits. Your portraits tend to be better on these points, but there appear to be some proportion issues on some of those as well (though not having seen the ref's it is not really possible for me to say)
Your studies do not show these same tendencies, so maybe it has to do with your focus as you are drawing, or there may be something too 'formulaic' in your 'comic drawing' mode that causes you to not 'see' these issues, or it could all be intentional. Whatever just thought I'd mention what I see, Y.M.M.V. and you can do with this as you wish, but as I said at the beginning - really good work in here - I'm a fan.

    comic sketches

chas: thanks for your critique. y I guess your right. I dont draw eye lashes on men unless it happens to be close up shot, so with no detail, they tend to look a little thinish. I guess I could correct that with a thicker line weight. when I look back at some of the older stuff on here I facepalm with embarrassment lol

    AwesomeShane: thanks. will do

more drawings. scans could be better
