Thread: Melman's sketchbook
January 14th, 2010 #1
Hello everyone. Here I will post my daily sketches. The reasons why I decided to create a sketchbook here are:
- I love this forum
- Finally bought wacom
- Motivation for further progress ofc. cause now my lvl is very low according to my purposes.
I'm on lvl of exploration and studying now.

i like your design ideas
especially the 4th picture
but keep in mind how they move, some couldn't even lift an arm.
those sketches are really rough, just keep pushing them.
i think you are going in the right direction, just keep practicing

Thx for comment m8. Yeah I know this thing about non practical armor etc. =)
Now I have big probs with basic lines, just need my hands to get used to tablet so it will be much less mess in my sketches, i'm working on it now but no success yet.

I like your work, most of it is very dynamic, but I think it would be good for us to see some of your anatomy studies as well!

Thx m8. Sure i need tons of studies, I'm doing anatomy on paper, will post as soon as I scan them.

it seems like you already have a visible progress on your first sketchbook page that´s fantastic.
I like the contrast and the dark mood in your pieces.
Something I would suggest for you is to do some color studies.
Even if you don´t use color that much, it helps to visualize mood and expression.
Keep up the great work, if you continue with this progress you will be a pro after a few pages.

Your armor designs are kickass. Throw in some color studies though, I'd love to see some more of those from you.

Good work so far mate, lovely colors! Only crit is that it seems you need to break yourself out of your comfort zone (i.e. skeles, knights, and towers). But yeah, moar studies, and more variations and you will be legendary.

The advice about comfort zone is epic! I think ill be doing more animals and classic for some time. Ty.

Hello everybody. It was a long time than i even touched my tablet. I had some work to do to prepare for my TOEFL exam. Today I've done some quick scetches just to start over again.
