there are pieces that i really like in your last paint and pieces i'm not as fond of as well. I love how you worked with the cliff in the back/right side and the darker tree branches in the foreground, too create depth, tho i feel the painting could use a bit more depth in general.
Are those loose pieces, wooden logs to create a path you can work on? If so then i think you need to take another look at the perspective if they're not floating at random.

Other than that i really think it's a great start tho, i really digg the atmosphere in it!

    Thank you for the critique!
I definitely have alot to learn in terms of perspective and depth especially when it comes to environments! This is my fourth and so far it's pretty good! But I'm always going to be learning and changing things a bit.

The log stairs are floating at random but in a path that goes far to the back cliff.

This piece I sketched out at Sketchbook pro, and finished on Photoshop. Duplicated the image, and added the poster edge effect, then erased most of it and left the parts I liked .

This is a random idea that popped out of my head whilst thinking of joining the COW for this week (random creature week). So this is my submission.

The giant wasn't intended to be there, but I sort of like drawing big creatures in environments now!

good thing to see you experimenting, but layer effects are jsut a lazy way of getting the job done, try to create the effect yourself and learn from it. nice updates tho

Thank you Yes I know, And that's why I decided just to use the power of photoshop with that one painting! Not that it looks great without it, but I had to enjoy the look I get lazily just this once!!

    Glad you like the update

i really like the environment in your last paint, but make sure to add more vamue to the character, he looks really flat. I noticed the shadow because i read your text first but it took me a couple of seconds to see it, maybe add more contrast to it? I love where it's going tho, keep it up!

Some giant humanoid alien landed in the water

He's the guardian of the white tree, but now that the last of the leaves has flown off, his job is done.
