    ninety9:That's cool.

    Some personal thoughts:
Since the shark is decomposing you could have a hole in the back of it's head letting light come in to the mounth from the back. Also opening the mouth some more (either by loosing some flesh or old fashion opening) would let you show the fish passing throu even better

Really cool to have you here.

I decided to withdraw my entry from the competition. I think I took a wrong approach to things as I first designed a dinosaur that wasn't a zombie, thinking I'd easily zombify it when completed. Wrong. I actualy liked my dinosaur so much, I did not want to rip parts of flesh from it and make it a decaying, walking corpse. And in the end, when I did give it a try, it looked like a dinosaur with parts of flesh ripped off, nothing more. It did not look like it was a zombie. Even my second attempt was disappointing and I decided not to enter the competition after all.

Anyhoo, I had a blast this week with this one and I think I produced one of my strongest pieces to date. So this is what my baby looks like now:

Bralt:She's fantastic! Going straight to my drive for future inspiration. I bow my head in admiration. I can see your point regarding the ripped flesh. zombies are not known for having such a proud posture They should be more of a teenage slacker

Arbinn: thanks for the inspiration, mate! Trying to push more color into it as you suggest, more contrast, more "black and white" or light and dark areas. . I should I really put that into my drawings. Thanks

As for your own piece, the coloring is looking good so far. I like the dripping/ripped flesh off the skull, nicely done! The eye is also very nice.
Hope you make it to the finish line in time !

I'm not sure if I'm going to make it. .maybe I should just post this thing, although it's nowhere near as polished as I would like it to be.. . meh.

bralt: very cool creature, thanks for posting this inspiring picture!
ninety9: now that's a shark! You've definately got some skills, and like me and others here, you also need to improve moar! I like your colors, and blur effect..and I think you should hone your detailing most.
blackrobin: I see you had yourself a little fun! Teehee! I like the sketchy feel of your piece, the linework is nicely flowing.

Some very cool entries, also just straight into the finals thread, holy crap!
dwinbotp: wow, incredibly fast, and strong piece. Although I'd like to see more "zombie" added to it
    vegasmike: dude, nice!

@ others, I'd like to comment, but gotta finish mine, mine, MINE! arrgh! Moar to come, har!

Well I had to something in the finals, although it's not quite finished yet..
I had to quickly do some digital tweaking and painting with a mouse sucks.
So it's not very polished to say the least.
I did try to put in the light/shadow factor as best I could to get at least a sense of what I was aiming for across.
@all: amazing works, nice to see so many excellent entries!

Orion9282[/B], yor zombie version have more sensation of movement. I like it. I think that it could be because his blurred skin, hanging from the body.

Bralt, I think that you have learned several things, and this is the most important. Sometimes is better to think a lot about "where I have to go" before starting work. This is one of these simple rules that I never take xD (take, do, follow?)

Sometimes I think that I could say interesting things and help people, but I can't because my poor english, damn :/

The word ‘anarchy’ comes from the ancient Greek αναρχία in which αν meant ‘without’ and αρχία meant first a military ‘leader’ and then ‘ruler’. Anarchist society is one ‘without rulers’: a classless, non-hierarchical society.

    great concept lkjhgfdsa,
really like the prison-aspect and muscles that hold the construction on top XD
Harma thanks for that -thought the deadline was already over so i rushed the shark in 3 hours - that´s probably why u miss details - will try to find more time next time, hehe. your zombie-raptor is pretty cool, too - what a pity that u show only 1 half of it.

ninety9: that explains a lot: only 3 hours? Nice work, I like it. Chapeau!
Thanks for that, I like the zombie raptor the most too, but it's paint on paper, so I can't add the other half. Maybe I'm going to do a zombie raptor piece later; for now I just rushed to the finish line with this piece ! (as I've got a problem with finishing stuff ).
    Gotta practice!
lkjhgfdsa: I agree with Lander and ninety9 - nice work! But..It's more a skeleton than a zombie, eh? (nitpicking mode)

ninety9> it's cool but for me it's more a study than a original creation , someone i know made a study of a great white shark and it was the exact same model , i think you should put the ref you used with your art ( at least in this section) .

you´re right - kinda (too) heavily based on the ref - everybody started out, and since that was my start it can only get better

never saw ppl posting the ref they worked with, but i could´ve done. should at least have mentioned it. promise to do next time (although i´m pretty sure there won´t be a next time).

ninety9> yeah that's why i said in this section as it's the wip section not final thread ( at least for people knowing about what is from you and what is not as it is heavily based on ref like you said ^^ )

And don't give up!! those activities are a great way to improve on your art

I'm here. Setting up the poll now. Just a little busy. Well, okay, that's an understatement.... Internet connectivity issues as well. Right now I am using a pirate signal to link into the Matrix.... Poll will be up in a matter of minutes....
