    My first COW entry

Never drew dinosaurs before so first a few anatomy studies. I got my pose and almost my zombie design. I want bones, blood and mutations, way over the top but hopefully I can balance it out.

Please crit if you got any !

Basic colors. It'll be a pretty limited palette.

Thanks for the comments, Spirall and evolvingeye- I tried to improve mine a little bit.

Absorber: So far the sketches look good, I especially like the one on the bottom.

Josu: Great perspective and movement here- probably change the eye a little bit, because it somehow don't fit to rest of the picture (which is rather desaturated), but that's just my opinion.

Notophthalmus: The back leg still look a little bit weird, but other than that it looks good.
Yes, this is open to everyone.

paulkang91: Very pretty details here, but the lower jaw definitaly needs some changes- right now it's too big and not quite in the same perspective as the head.

My dinosaur got some additional details and a little bit more blood.

    here is my WIP.
My CA time on the train going home from work.
Will have to flesh out the new sides of this tricera concept.
Some kicking stuff going on. Cool to finally see a sea creature (dwinbotp gogogo).

Due tomorrow! I'd better get crackin'. Maybe a bit late to post the WIP, but I ought to have the final up tomorrow. Good luck, everyone. Great work so far!

Everyone's designs are looking rad! I've tried to take all the crit I have been given and integrate changes into my piece, and I'm pretty happy with it. Still, I have the rest of the evening to work on it so any thoughts you have on it at all would be appreciated

    Thanks Lander! Give color

Im' traying to apply some keys that I thought about zombies....

    - Convert a "pacific" character/creature in agressive and carnivore (like a vegetarian diplodocus, or these typical shop assistant zombie that appears in movies)

    - Place movement from extremities of the body to inside it. I think a zombie don't steer his movements from his body, but he had this movement on her hands, legs and mouth, because are these parts of the body which are telling body -through magic, maybe?- what have to do (walk, chase meat, eat!). So I think that spine will hang like a passive piece of the body.

    - A lot of blood and bones and holes in the body.... but this is obvious! ^^

    - hummmm.... I don't remember any key for now. Oh, yes, I'm listening Cosmos OST (from the Carl Sagan TV Show). But I think this is not important xDD

Wish all this don't be a lot of sillies xD

    My wip here!!!

I think I'm finally on the right track color wise. I changed the hue of the underlying picture to brown with a brown gradient which seemed to unify the whole thing and make the colors more natural and muted. Now I'm just worried about him being too hidden in with the background.

Good luck everybody it's starting to get down to crunch time!

Josu, it's close to being done, I agree. I know it's a night scene but he's fading into the background. Which is a sad thing indeed since he was so lovingly rendered with various crinkles and ridges. Go in and select just the zombiesaur and run some passes of Contrast, Unsharp Mask (very slightly), and Saturation. The select the background and maybe run very slight Gaussian Blur to make him pop into the foreground. Play with it a bit and I think you have a finished CoW. Good work thus far.
