Hi, I’ve lurked around here for quite a while and thought it was about time I put some stuff up.
It might not be great, but hey y'know all that stuff about practice right?
Critique and comments appreciated!

Thanks for taking a look at my sketchbook! Looks like you've got some nice stuff going on. Nice loose feeling on the figures and good colors on the apple.
Faces are tough. Hard to say without seeing more of your work, but from what you have posted here, it looks like there might be something off about where you're positioning the eyes? Looks almost like they're not set in deep enough in a couple of places.
Architeuthis: Thanks! i think you are right, i quite often dont shade around the eyes which makes them look like they are just sitting on top of the face. will try to work on that!
sooo, for today i have some more pages practicing faces. still dont like them, but getting a bit better
ps. most of the studies are from stephen rogers peck's atlas of human anatomy for the artist, anyone know any other good anatomy books?
It's good that you have such a great output, but it's also important to take time to think about what you're doing--only then can you learn from all these studies. Take the time to render the values, proportions, features more accurately, and you can balance that with the more gestural stuff. With anatomy it's also helpful to do studies of the body's interior, muscles and bone under the skin.
