Your figures are very dynamic, and you have some pretty cool costume designs, overall you designs really seem to sell the character and their personality.

wow nice gestures and lines again! And you aren´t bad at all drawing portaits Is just about shading volumes, nothing you couldn´t do with a bit of practice.
I think you found a good way to draw cartoony horses, they work very good!
oh, I forget about adding it hehe, hope you don´t mind loved that character!

Some really nice drawings here. I think your cartoon characters are very nicely done. Lots of personality. I can’t think of much to critique at this point but I will take another look when I am not half asleep.
Your style would be well suited to a comic if you decide to make one.

Lightpunk: hah glad i can inspire once in a while! and thank you so much!
heres a smaller update...some doodles and a very few 5 min studies i did of some random photos from le web...thought i put a bit shading on them for fun as well :p
and some screenshots from my film ( not all scenes, and i hope these wont spoil it to much) I started to try to spiff it all up in after effects now but after putting these screens up with each other i noticed its not very much contrast of colors from end to beginning, so ima gonna have to try work that out a bit better...also the colors isnt the same as i had planned but i just couldnt figure out AE to get the same thing i created in photoshop (even tho it seems to have the exact blending modes and layer effects)
but i kinda like this too, but please tell me what you think!
(and title means nothing, my instructor wanted me to have just something so i just took the most obvious (means white bird in swedish ) caus i still have no title for this )
and i should stop procrastinating and go back to school and work now D:

Lots of great stuff since I last check here! I'm really liking how you did your figures in the latest post. The markers(?) bring them out a lot! I can't wait to see your film as well! Looks awesome from the screenshots. I'm loving the storytelling you did among the boy and little girl sketches. Very cute! Great work all around!

stunning updates. I wish I had as much time to draw more!
The marker figure drawings look gorgeous. And your characters/people are getting better and better. You are quickly becoming amazing. I dont mean to sound all ass kissey, but each big update always seems better than the last. You definitely have something right, or some amazing source of inspiration.

I looked at the first page: sweet figures. The last page: sweet figures. I totally need to come back when I will have more time and go through your whole SB, giving time for every figure I especially like (and sketch them myself, I love to do it for my eyes only). It will take some time...
November 3rd, 2011 #229
Heyya! Thanks for the post on my SB!
I'm glad you did so that I could see your stuff!
I really love your style. I like the motion and simplicity in your characters.
I like the way your lines work, they are really nice!
The stuff on your animation sketchbook is awesome too.
You really have improved a lot over these pages!
The only tiny suggestion I have is, that your characters would stand out from one another better if you varied body types and sizes more. I don't do this well, but it helps!
Keep up the good work, I look forward to seeing more!

uhu...so my artblocks is just worse than pms, they come and go like a rollercoaster and last week i was so inspired and couldnt stop sketching whenevr i had a second free, now im just stuck with the pencil on the paper and nothing comes out
so last night i just sat down trying to do some figures and portraits, blhg...tried something new, uhm, conte i think? got it from school but never used it and have no idea how to use it either but even if my portraits still sucks it was a bit easier trying to focus less on details than i usually do with a pencil.
and some figure drawings, from ref, but tried to stylise it a bit having shane glines in mind.
and whoop whoop, tomorrow sunday lifedrawing is back so i can get some real stuff done
November 6th, 2011 #236
Sweet, sweet pinup gals I love them. I almost love when I see nice simple stylized sexy figures. Only the same with sexy faces could make me much more enthusiatic.
About your face drawings. Watch the gap between the eyes, it's almost always at least one eye wide. Slightly more looks better than too small (bigger gap tends to happen when the eyes are small anyway). You drew a definitely bigger brow/nose than nose/chin distance for the girls, it's usually not true for womans and even if someone has it, it usually not pretty. Not like you should draw pretty ones and proportions can vary but maybe I say something new and useful if I keep saying what I think
November 6th, 2011 #237
Hey! thanks for checking out my sketchbook!, Your figures are so fluid and animated haha, I might watch the proportions on some of your designs, they tend to get a little stocky, but I don't know if thats intentional or not

something wrong with CA? i get no notifications of peoples sketchbooks anymore
shiNIN: hehe i guess they turned out a bit pinup-ish but that was not the goal with them, just photo reffed and tried to stylize
and faces is something im super crappy with, trying to practice, will take it on a bit more seriously though when school is finished, but it is first on my list to study hard on!
Hannah.Leigh: thank you! hmm, what do you mean by stocky? x)
cloudcan: thank you very much!
cheers for your crits guys, much appreciated and noted!
so here is todays batch of lifedrawings, i started really crappy and i guess it ended okey...and yet again, its very much headless, omg i need to kick myself in the butt and not slack on drawing heads/faces so much its ridiculously hard for me, i just cant get a good grasp on it
