nice stuff in this sketchbook, although I've never seen it before. No crits from me, as you seem to be working really hard, so just keep on doing what you're doing. Those life drawings are cool too, I might give that style a go myself

Wow! Awesome updates since I was last here! Especially the recent sketch on post #177! The cowgirl? Yeah, the line work is amazing on that one! Your life drawings have gotten a lot better as well. Your sketches have a lot emotions and character. I love it! Can't wait to see more from you!

I love those little chibi sketches of yours from earlier, sooo cute. I think the sense of movement in your sketches is getting better and better. I also have a lot more trouble drawing males, I end up drawing them and having to go back to widen the shoulders and lower the waist the navel height. I just read about the waist thing some time ago in the female anatomy thread, and realized that's the most common problem I have, and on the other hand the thing that definately makes a female look male if it's done the other way around. I also want to see more color keys!

Gorgeous sketchbook you are putting together here.
Seems forum ate my post from last time =o but I had
a chance to look back and see those life drawings! I like, alot.

It feels like you've really got a good grasp on the "stretch and pinch"
in the figures, my only advice would to be to press and exaggerate the
perspective and push forms. Less contour more volumetric style drawing or
something like that lol. Take care

Ricardo Robles: thank you for coming back here, makes me happy and thanks for the kind words...i heard that alot lately about my poses, makes me glad to know, i always felt i had a hard time getting natural looking poses :o
Revidescent: thanks so much for the kind words! glad you like her as well!
ThomasM: hey and thanks for stopping by, and thank you very much!
    tobbA: tackar tackar!
Aresa: thank you for coming back here, its very much appreciated! and glad you liked the cowgirl, to bad i didnt get to finish her maybe one day hehe
Suncut:glad you liked those, havent drawn those in ages, maybe ill get back to them hehe. still working on my male anatomy, i feel im having most trouble with their hips alot. also somehpow its hard for me to get out of the small round heads and jaws i draw alot and try get more square-ish big jaws
also color keys, yeh... i should do more color studies, something thats on my to-do-list when im done with school and come back home! :p
Aveh: thanks for stopping by and thanks for the kind words! hmm im guessing you mean drawing without line and using shapes more?
its something i really wish to improve on as i always been so dependent on lines so i barely know how to draw without. something i really need to work on!
AlexTooth, in2eternity, midknight523, cafebun, NickyBeats, lohes: thank you guys!

wow guys, thanks so much for stopping by and/or coming back here!
i been quite busy with my final film as we are in the cleanup and inbetween stage now, and i have managed to finish way before deadline, so had some time to relax this weekend and just doodle lots of randomness for myself.

forgot to photo my latest lifedrawings from last sunday, but wow i have become really rusty on such a short time away from lifedrawing... gives me slight depressing feelings to lose what i learnt so quickly, i really need to keep up my gesture drawings even if i cant go to lifedrawing classes all the time D:

anywho, sorry for blabbering, here is a bit of this and that!

Hi! some really cool poses here, very loose. the horse is very nice too. how about some full color or full shaded characters? I guess you are focusing on lines cause of your study, but maybe some shading could help you with volumes and its movement. I will wait for new updates

glad you like them, haha wouldnt mind you doing so at all!
    Jeff Bartzis: thanks man!
iven: hey! thanks for stopping by, and thank you very much for the kind words, im glad you like it!
    Aresa: thank you!

ah i kinda had a bit of an inspiration kick last couple of days, not much motivation to color unfortunateley (sp) im just not having a very comfortable working space at home ugh
on monday now we will start coloring and compositing our film and stuff so im guessing that it will be some busy 2 months ahead, so might not be able to doodle and update so much until film is done!

buut, here is some lifedrawings from today, felt a bit better than last time but i still feel a bit rusty
and some doodles, and some fail hand studies, i just give up to fast on hands, theyre so hard to do! but i will do more of them, more more more!

    till next time guys

    AlexTooth: Thanks!

here i thought i would be superbusy with coloring my film for a month and all and i already have my animation colored and is on hold to draw my backgrounds any further until the instructor decided on proper resolutions, hopefully i dont have to redraw what i already drawn, gah D:

so, here is some more sketches and stuff caus i suck at not posting /shameonme
and my backgrounds, well 2 of them, with and without texture...im still not sure how to get the look with those texture i want with the programs we get to work with to do our film ( toonboom harmony and after effects ) as i never used any of them before... caus it is alot of playing with texture and layer effects on photoshop...

oh and t he little devilguys and flowergirls is some early concepts for my flash film that we will be doing after the classical film, so in about a month and a half maybe...just trying to spawn ideas...

big update, the sketches are top notch. Those 5 characters are quite interesting, are they part of your short film? can you reveal us something about the story?
    nice job!!

Ricardo Robles: thanks! glad you like those unfortunateley those 5 is for a comic story i planned for ages, but im just so bad at drawing comics i never got to it, but i have been seriously writing on a sort of script to follow so im gonna give it a serious try after school, early next year hehe.

my film isnt really anything great or fun, im a bad storyteller, but these are the 2 characters for my film, it is only 1min and 5 sec (for now) and is more like a trailer actually than a short film with a beginning and an end.

i wish to make a comic of the that story as well, hehe, we´ll see, i been told that the style im going for this film has a comic feel to it so maybe i can continue with that to make the comic

Nice updates as always, but i'm most charmed with the sketches in post #203, especially the third page. Fun figures and slick lines, just the kind i like! Oh, and thanks for always posting in my sketchbook, i really appreciate it.
