...is good to get in on the ground floor of a thread like this.

please more the creatures, deem you them generic or no, they want to pour out of some holes in your brains. Allow this, please, thx.

Sweet brush strokes, colors, and design. The environment thumbs are wonderful, but my favorite piece so far is the tree thumb in #14 - it's simple yet has a lot of interesting shapes.

    palladium: Thanks! Good to hear!

Icecold: Unsharpened image attached. Yeah i luv unsharp, but i occasionally "forget" to use it.

    Bummer6:Thanks!

DefiledVisions: Thanks! Sure, ill post occasional tips and workflow descriptions.

William b. Hand: Hi, W! Ill make some more creatures soon, im planning on getting together with a taxidermist i know to check out some of the odder animals he has stashed in his freezer, cant hurt my knowledge of anatomy. Btw I still think you live in a castle.

Nightblue: Hey thanks! The tree was part of another picture but it was just way better on its own.

    UmpaArt: Thanks!

    CUKIERass: Thanks!

    Eddieee: Thanks!

    amr-28: Thanks!

    selfu: more stuff is comin

    MeTaL-Mike: Thanks!

Here is a picture of some spacestuff, and a showoff of what my fantastic cloudbrush can do. Thats the last 2 small thumbs. Its scary how neat it is, the problem is, the brush is in an unknown location on my harddrives. Im searching for it.

palladium: I try to focus on composition and shape-design a lot. Perspective is not as important as one might think in creating depth, atmosphere is a lot more useful, and of course a lot less time-consuming.

selfu: Lots of custombrushes and a lot of layerfilters and textures. I usually make a brush on the fly if i need to draw some repeated element, even if i have one available.

Capital G: Thank you, i appreciate it.

DStraX: Thanks! Glad to see some more norwegians around here!

rubay06: These brushes are awesome. http://www.pandemoniumart.net/brushes

Really cool sketchbook, like your spirited and loose style. The creature and the tree on page one are my fav.

Thx for the tip on atmosphere. I'll definitely remember that on my next painting. The last post is great, really like the motion blur in that last one. Wondering if you could post a step by step process of one of your pieces. It'd be great to understand how you create depth and atmosphere throughout your process.

    Ryan DeMita: Thanks!

kischi: Yep, the tree is pretty rad.

palladium: Id probably show some step by step stuff in the future.

    jimmiegrunde: Thanks!

Here is some old skulldrawings drawn with col-erase prismacolor pencil i had around since its impossible to install that scanner. Everything breaks these days. 2 cameras, 1 cellphone and 1 scanner is the bodycount. The scanner is probably working, but the drivers for it are obsolete/missing from the entire internet.

Coz_K: Thanks! Big fan of your work.

Got the scanner up n running. The Scwarz Weich Black Soft 8200-099*** and W5 warm grey marker was used, but the scanner reflected the blacks as white due to it being shiny head-on, so the only one that does not look crap is the left one, where the paper was off from the scanner.

    humza: Thank you!

Now im considering rimlight on this here henchman. Any ideas? should he have a gun? shovel? a bowl of milk for the boss-cat? It has to be henchman-like. He is a up-and-coming henchman, fighting his way through the ranks, only to one day kill his boss and become the new supervillain. Then he needs to find himself a nemesis. Im drawing his boss and his nemesis on ze paper now.

Nice looking sketches in here. Keep it up and you'll be rolling with the big boys before you know it. Your environments are what really stand out but that last character you posted is showing some promise as well. One thing that I think would give him some punch is to have a little more definite and clear distinctions between his jacket, shirt and pants. Maybe some harder edges or even some slight color shifts to distinguish the different elements.

awesome character, i rly like him. i dont would add to much things on hes clothes. i
like this simple design. he lookz rly tough, and i think he need not much guns or other things. but yeah, for a more interesting shape, maybe you can give him a handgun with a muffler or something.
    anyway, great character design!
