Aftera couple of months here, I've finally gotten around to starting a sketchbook. I work mostly from life and my imagination and then develop ideas later on for finshed work or production art. Black and white is pencil color stuff is oils done in life drawing sessions. Mostly it is a way to keep my skills from getting too rusty.

I'm really loving that tree, all the knots and twists make it seem very much alive.. in a creepy following you though the forest kinda way..
your paintings are awesome!!

Great paint gestures! I love the light on the figures.
Really REALLY nice stuff! Especially your paintings caught my attention. It's been a while since I saw someone paint so well using traditional media.
Great stuff. Love the lifedrawing work. What medium are you using for the colour poses?
Great sketchbook, dpaint. I love those enviroment compositions, and the colour choices on those alla prima figures are beautiful.
It's cool to see the art behind the person who's been spreading so much valuable knowledge throughout the forums. And I must say you do not disappoint in the least. I stay to see more aka subscribing.
Hey mate, love your sketchbook so far. Particularly like the acrylic(?) anatomy and face studies. Makes me want to get out my paints
*cheers for the respons to my thread in the discussion forums*
nicely done sketches on those dinos.
lol you sure do like those naked ladies don't you lol, glad my teacher wasn't in here when I scrolled up. Nudity is frowned upon at school lol. these are awesome to say the least. hope to see more! lol are you going to post more?
Hallo Dpaint, great stuff you got going on in here. I absolutely love those jungle environment drawings, please do more of those! You got a good understanding of the human anatomy and its forms, although imo your biggest weakness is the face when it comes to placing the eyes in space. I see you're working on it and that is good, I too need to work on it a lot more then what I currently are. I can suggest you to do some self portrait studies infront of the mirror, and looking at statues if you got any of such close to you.
P.S. I saw your oil paintings, very beautiful. The vawes that had light shining through them was astonashing.
I hope you'll update soon so I can come back!

I would LOVE to see more of your sketchbook environments!
The 45-1 hr studies are excellent! The first in particular...reminds me of someone and I can figure out who...

It has been almost a year, what a slacker I am. Here are some quick oil studies
There is a lot of experimentation going on wwith these with types of surface, paint application and color. Most are 12x16 to 16x20. the last three value studies were on an 18x24 canvas board done by wiping out with a brush or paper towel with a little mineral spirits and no paint.
