Nice designs and good skills, you are in the right track, keep with the good effort. You need a bit more 3 dimensionality in those though, I recommend you study a bit more anatomy from here:

    Keep posting!.

Hey there thanks for commenting on my sketch book,
I think your on the right track with the anatomy studies your getting a much better idea of proportion and muscle structure, just remember to keep the head in proportion to the body.

Keep doing studies like these as much as you can and you will see the improvement, as for improving your line work i think the best thing would be posemaniac 30-60 second poses as you only have enough time to draw accurate and good lines.
Heres the link (dont replace anatomy with this but do them side-by-side):
    http://www.posemaniacs.com/?pagename=thirtysecond

    Hope that helps, goodluck.

    Thumbs up

Hi, here is an advice that is oposite of what you have been told, but I'm not saying that the other one is not going to help you, just that here is something you can try too:

To get better at making lines, take all the time you can to PLAN the line on your imagination before making a stroke, make sure you can see in your mind the shape of the line, where it ends, where it begins, the movement of your arm and pencil you have to make, if you feel kind of lost at seeing the empty page, put a faint point to orient you on where the lines begins, the middle and the end.

Do not worry on getting one flowing line made with only one stroke, you can make a line with many strokes, just make sure that each new stroke follows the flow of the old one, the end result should look as only one flowing line.

It is very common to make a sketch first, and then on top of it draw with darker more definite lines. Sketches help a lot on making better lines, they work as guides, they are stepping stones on where to put more definite and confident strokes.

Draw big and use your whole arm, to get better lines you have to excersize your muscles of your shoulder to be very precise. Using brushes and paint vertically helped me a lot on this, it can hurt your arm if you push yourself too much, so take care of yourself.

That's it, I hope that helps, keep posting your progress.

Christian223: Oh thanks a lot for the great advice.

Here's a bowl followed with some random line strokes. I tried to use christians advice here and drew not with just my hand but my whole arm. I hope that will eventually improve my line work by doing so. Thanks.

Ahhhhh... If only I could go back in time and tell myself to draw at your age... How good would I be at the moment? Hell if I know.

Anyways great stuff coming a long. I would suggest more anatomy studies and such since your lacking them but all in all good progress. Keep on trucking.

My observational skills may be great but i said nothing about my drawing skills

Hey, awesome work, feels good to start at a young age.
    I'm 15 too.

I'm not sure if I'm in any position to give critiques, but it seems like a lot of your lines are kind of clumped together and overlapping a bunch. Also make sure you are drawing from your entire arm and not just from your wrist. I have the same problem and I'm adjusting to it.

    Keep up the good work.

Srry for not posting that much in a while, have got a lot of school to take care of. But i'm still drawing when i finds the time. I'll propably post a lot of more stuff when i've gotten better and thanks for all your support so far ^^.

Btw: just started to study a bit more anatomy than i used to, i'll see if i can get an hour or two every day or so . Expect to see a lot of stuff coming a lot more frequent when the summer is here . I think i'll spend my whole summer almost nothing but drawing so that's something i'm looking forward to .

Time to get back to business

Allright it's being far too long between posts... gotta draw more and post more. here's some sketches tho.

These sketches were all drewn from imagination. And i have a question for you guys, even though i'm not sure that many view this sketchbook anymore. How do you know that you're ready to get out there and start applying for jobs? until next time
And don't be afraid to tell that my work sucks, or if you like it. all kinds of comments are welcome.

When I see your drawing I get the impression that you do them very very fast and without much care, and to get a better result, specially when you are learning, it is better to do it slowly, taking your time to think and imagine the forms and lines, think that each line has to add value to the drawing, so each line is very important, speed comes after 20 years of practice
