    Like the progress so far. A few tips on the figures would be to lay down a simple gesture first then build some forms using simple shapes (box, cylinder, sphere).

    @Blondebeard: Thanks. I'll give that a try.

    Today's scribblings, the first one is based on a study from BludHunds sketchbook.

    This weeks life drawing, unfortunately my A3 sketchbook is slightly too big for the scanner and it sits just on the lip just around the edge of the glass, so all the scans are slightly out of focus.

    Study from a photo of a Greek bust. Should have spent more time observing and getting the measurements right, but it started as just a quick sketch.

    Hey Benjy thanks for stopping by my SB, after looking through your SB i can see you took everyones advice and studied faces, they've definately improved! In regards to cross hatching i've found doing the "straight line" exercise for perspective drawing is helping me be more patient with my lines, which in turn is giving my lines a cleaner straighter quality. maybe try this as warm up and see what happens ? Keep up the awesome faces and rotate your studies so you dont get bogged down mate. Will check back soon.

    Pretty cool improvement on your faces and bodys. Need to study this too =).
    Keep up the good mix from study and drawing, that's what makes you better and better.

    I can do so little in so much time!

    Very nice anatomy and eye studies ... I also like the ancient masonry study, came out awesome!
    The head study of the army dude ... the lips seem a bit skew , unless that his expressions.
    Really good updates ... great work, cant wait to see some more soon!

    @Shambok: Thanks. I think you're correct about the lips.

    My first proper attempt at traditional painting. Acrylic on cereal box cardboard (junk materials FTW). Good lord it's difficult.

    @Sharas K: Thanks! It's really good fun, I think I'll give it some more practice.

    @Legionnaire: Thankyou. I think I'll pick up a copy of Bammes at some point. You can never have enough anatomy books!

    Hey benjy nice updates! youve been busy, im liking the quick environments your doing its good to not get bunged down in details and i think the simple shapes are really paying off, also awesome z brush render (i think its z brush) its great that your trying every medium available, will have to try traditional paints and more 3d soon. Thanks for the kick in the ass!

    @Fudgeloaf: Thanks! The sculpt is done with blender.

    A CGTalk DSF, the theme was "pokemon self portrait", which I suggested after seeing this site, I thought it was a really fun idea.
